 Chapter 4

My father looked at me; I could see he was angry. “Alisa, stop that now,” he said sternly. “But father, he isn’t my mate, I didn’t feel anything, hell I don’t feel any pull, nothing.” I replied, trying to let my father know, that this boy, was not my mate. However, knowing my father, he would want to believe him over me, as he is next in line Alpha. The boy looked over and smirked at me, when my father looked away.” WHAT THE HELL IS THIS WOLF PLAYING AT?” I mentally screamed in my head. Father then looked at me again. “Alisa I know you don’t want a mate, but Conner is your mate now and you WILL mate with him, whether you want it or not.” He said, using his don’t mess with me tone. I could see Sky and Autumn looking up at me with a puzzled look on their faces. Turning back to face my father and Conner, the one who thinks I am his mate, I started planning out a route of escape.  My now angry father, walked off over to my mother as I started to my way towards Sky and Autumn.  Conner grabbed hold of my wrist, ”WHAT?!” I shouted, while looking at him. ”Where are you going?” he asked. “Nowhere that concerns you” I replied, pulling my wrist out of his grip.  I quickly ran towards the girls, hoping that they could help me to get out of here.

 As I started explaining everything to Sky and Autumn, I could feel someone staring at me. “I need to escape, please help me to get out of here,” I pleaded, so only they could hear.” They both nodded their heads, letting me know they were willing to help me.” The three of us headed over towards the bar, so we could start making an escape plan. Looking over to see where Lucas was, I noticed that he had found his mate. The way they were staring at each other made me jealous. Don’t get me wrong, I loved nothing more than seeing my twin brother happy.  I just wish that I had found my true mate tonight, and then none of this would be happening to me right now. I thought to myself. “Sky I need you to go over and tell Lucas what is going on” I asked. Within seconds, I could see Sky talking to Lucas, and to say he looked mad was an understatement. Lucas and his mate, were now walking straight towards me, when Conner, came from out of nowhere and stepped straight in front of me. He even pushed Autumn out of the way. Blocking my view of Lucas, his mate and Sky, I couldn’t even see Autumn anymore.  I began to panic, as I had no way to escape, and with no longer see any of my friends I thought that this is it. He had such a hard grip on my waist that it was making me whimper out in pain. The next thing I knew, he was ripped off me and looking over to see who it was, I was shocked to see that Lucas had him pinned down on the floor with Mason standing over them. Autumn and Sky came running over to me and grabbed hold of my hand. ”Quick,” they both shouted, as they dragged me out of the clearing.

When we reached the pack house, Sky was running around my room packing a bag while Autumn just stood beside me still holding on to my hand.  It felt like everything around me was going in slow motion, as I just stood there watching. This is worse than any nightmare, I thought to myself. Suddenly I felt a slap around my face, which shocked me back to reality.  I could feel the tears starting to stream down my cheeks as I just stood there scared, staring at my best friends.  “Why me, why does everything bad, always happen to me?” I asked, as I broke down. Sky and Autumn wrapped me in their arms and hugged me. “Shush it will be alright Alisa; we will help you we promise,” Autumn said. “Don’t forget, we have Lucas and Mason here to help us too,” Sky joined in. Just then, Lucas and Mason walked into my room with a beautiful girl right behind them. “Alisa,” my brother called out as he came running over to me, and pulled me into a hug.  “Listen Alisa; we don’t have much time, I have a place you can hide out, and I have some friends that are going to look after you until I can sort all this out ok?” Lucas asked I nodded into his chest.   “Ok one of my friends from the Blue moon pack is coming for you now. Also, this here is my mate Clarisse; Clarisse this is my twin Alisa. Alisa; she is also from the Blue moon pack, so you will have her with you as well ok?” Lucas asked me. Hearing the panic in his voice had me worrying, “Ok,” I replied between my sobs.

“Lucas they are here” Clarisse said in a quiet, shy voice. “Ok, Mason and I will distract anybody who’s out there, you three get Alisa in the car, are we ready?” Lucas asked all of us. “Yes,” everyone answered. Crying hysterically, I was pushed in between all of them as we walked out to the driveway. Sky quickly got me into the car, “I will call you, ok?” she said, giving me one more quick hug. Seeing the tears in her eyes, broke my heart even more. “Promise?” I asked, “I promise,” Sky replied before she closed the car door. As the car pulled out of the drive, I let all my emotions go.

I wish my father would just believe me, and stop wanting me to have the power over a pack. You would think he would be happy enough with Lucas becoming Alpha, but NO! That is not enough for his hunger for power. I do love my father, nevertheless, I just want to be happy, is that asking for too much?

“God I wish I could see my blue eyes now,” I thought to myself.
