Alright guys , here it is. The last chapter before the epilogue. I would just like to thank all my readers and followers who have supported me through this. My writing may be bad but the story line is pretty good.
It's been a few weeks since you had last heard from Jonathan. You hadnt heard any word from any downworlders about joanthans diabolical plan. Mostly because the only downworlder that you knew just so happened to be an antisocial warlock.
"Wanda are you postitive you haven't heard anything?" You asked for about the seventh time as you bounced your little bundle of joy grayson on your leg. "I mean you did just go to that bar last weekend."
Wanda sighed and pulled the bottle out of baby reinas mouth. "Y/N, for about the hundredth time no. I didn't hear anything at all. Just be patient. You are bound to hear something sometime or another." She took Reina, now sleeping, over to the bassinet in the corner of the living room.
"I'm just worried is all." You stood up from the chair you sat on and placed Grayson on the play mat in front of your tv. Wanda, being the doll that she is, had enchanted some lights to dance around in the air just above the mat. So that was a pretty good distraction for the curious baby.
"I wouldn't worry." She smiled at you as she placed a spell over Reina to keep her asleep. More of a shimmering forcefeild of peace and protection around her crib.
"Well wanda we both know that you aren't me." A few seconds of silence followed that statement before a soft knock rang on your front door.
"Are you expecting someone? " you both said in unison.
Wanda knew the drill for this. She carefully but quickly levitated Grayson to her before placing him inside his identical crib next to Reina's. She cast a protection spell over the cribs before she his inside the closet next to them.
This was just a precaution in case the person at the door was an enemy. The children come first. Obviously.
You made your way over to the door. with a fireball blazing behind your back. Concealed but highly deadly.
On the other side of the door was a girl with her hair the color of your orange flames. Beside her a muscular boy with blond hair. They both had the runes over their bodies.
"More shadowhunters." You sneered. You may have been raised as a shadowhunter but you were one no more. They cast out your mother. And would've Killed you had they known you existed.
"Hi. I'm clary." The redhead hesitantly put her hand out in front of her for you to shake.
You pulled your hand out from behind your back. The flames cackling. "I have no desire to shake your hand and you should be thinking the same. Why are you here?" You could feel the flames boiling beneath you. Waiting to be unleashed.
The blond pulled clary back about two feet from your fire ball. A safety precaution it seems.
"I have news about jonathan. I'm his younger sister." She spoke once again.
The word Jonathan faltered your grip on the fire ball. It fizzled out and you were left standing there with out the flames.
"Come in please." You whispered. They walked through the door and into the living room. "Wanda." You called.
She stepped out of the closet but before she could say anything you cut her off. "Go upstairs for a moment please. I need to speak with these people." She oblidged and teleported out of the room.
"A warlock in league with a half demon. Unsurprising." The blond boy muttered.
"Jace shut up. Or go outside." Clary threatened.
"Jace? Someone named jace texted Jonathan. Are you the same?" You asked while staring at him.
"The very same. Jonathan had put a spell on me. Making me follow him and do all that he wished. But we broke it."
"Oh." You took a seat in your rocking chair near the twins beds. Gesturing for them to sit on the couch. "Anyway. What is this news about jonathan? When will he be back I mean the kids miss him."
"The kids?" Clary said and Jace looked confused. You nodded and pointed over to the cribs. Still covered in the forcefeild that could only be penetrated by you or Wanda until it came down.
"Yes. Jonathan and I. We we're romantically involved before he killed my best friend. He had actually came back a few weeks ago when the kids were born and we talked things out." You explained. "He said he would be back after he finished some mission. I miss him. As do Reina and Gray." You explained.
"This is going to be hard to hear Y/N. But Jonathan," clary sighed. "He is dead."
Those two words were all it took. You stared at the two unfamiliar shadowhunters in shock.
"What?" You said but before they could answer you one of the babies cried out. Causing the other to begin to cry. "Wanda come here please."
Wanda appeared back in the room. Understanding the situation you both made your way to the cribs and picked up a baby. You held Reina while she cried.
"Shhh baby it's ok." You bounced her softly in your arms. "Mommy's here it's ok." She calmed down after that and you set her on the play mat alongside the already calm Grayson.
"You are very good with her Y/N." Clary put her hand on your shoulder and you welcomed it. "I'm sorry that I have to be the one to tell you. But you need to mourn. I found out about you because of your name in Jonathan's journal. There isn't much else inside it." She pulled a small booklet out of her pocket and placed it in your hands. "I've written my number and any other ways to contact me in the back of this. If you ever need anything. Find me. I'll do anything to help you. And my niece and nephew." With one final squeeze to your shoulder she and Jace left.
It wasn't until the kids were asleep and you were in your bed, tucked under the covers did you finally let the tears stream down your face.
