"Well you two sure work fast together," Ramad took the blood and placed it in the same refrigerator that he put yours in merely hours ago, "maybe you should do it more often."

Your eyes drifted over to Jonathan and found him across the room looking at the spines of different books. His white locks of hair were sticking up in different spots as if he had been running his hand through it all day long. His jacket was on the table across from you so he was only in his black t-shirt, you could see his muscles when he reached on a high shelf to get a book. You couldn't deny that he was gorgeous, but he tried to kill you.

"Yeah right." You and Jonathan scoffed in unusion.

"I barley like being in the same room with him. We shouldn't work together." You rolled your eyes and then plopped down into a chair near a bookshelf. "I don't know why you'd think that we should."

"Fine I guess it's none of my buisiness what you guys do together." The smirk on Ramad's face gave away his true feelings on the subject.

"OK Ramad, how long before you'll know what's wrong with her?" Jonathan's voice was laced with concern. NOT!

"It's going to take a few days, since magic doesn't work in situations like this I will have to do it the old fashion way. Science." He stuck his head back on the microscope. "I'll contact you when I find out, you too Y/N."

"Alright but I'm going home. I still.have my own line of research to do." You turned and walked out of the room.

Not realizing that Ramad told Jonathan to follow you.

On the way home you never once felt like someone was watching you. Jonny boy was way too good at his job for that. But he definitely couldn't protect you from everything.

You bumped into an old woman on the side walk and when you tried to apologize she started screaming at you in french. You got angry so you walked away.

The fire inside you burned and it wanted to come out but you knew that if that happened there would be people all over you, I need to learn to control this. You thought desperately. Just try and stay calm.

You apartment was one block away. And even though it was mid day, the streets of Paris were bustling with activity and so much foot traffic, so you decided to take a short cut through the back alley.

A loud bang echoed through the alley. You whipped yourself around the corner with your dagger in your hand, prepared for anything. Your E/C eyes searched the alley for a person only to find a stray cat behind a dumpster. "Oh so it was you who made that sound." You let out a deep breath that you didn't know you were holding in. "Don't give me a heart attack like that again kitty."

"It wasn't the cat" an unfamiliar voice sounded behind you.

You turned to find a man in a mask with a gun. "What the hell do you want?" You spat towards the man.

"Oh I was going to take all your stuff." He took a step closer to you, then you backed up. This continued until you were pressed up against the wall of the alley. "But you are a pretty one, I think I'll take you instead."

"You and what army?" You took your seraph blade out and he backed up in mock fear.

"Could be this one." He whistled and four more men came out of the shadows. All in masks, all equally big in strength. "So you can put up a fight all you want. I'm going to have my way with you." He came forward and pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. He grabbed your side and yanked you closer to him.

"Stop!" You screamed. And you could feel your flames begin to rise. Your skins temperature heated up to the point the man dropped you on the ground. You landed on your feet because of your reflexes. All four men ran.

Your hand stuck out and fire shot out of your hand and created a wall before them. "You aren't going any where." Your maniacal laugh sounded as your body was engulfed in the flames.you hadn't noticed before but your hair had turned white. It did this every time your power came out. You just never noticed before this.

You were in full control of your actions, and you were filled with rage. "You think that you can have your way with any girl you want don't you? Well not me. And never again will you hurt someone." You ripped all of their masks off to find four terrified men trembling before you.

"Any last words?" You smirked at them and they were all frozen in fear. "That's what I thought. Bastards"

Your fire poured out of your hands and made its way over to them. The man that touched you was left unharmed, the rest of them burned to a crisp, all that was left was the pile of ashes.

"You will live, and deal with the death of your friends. And you won't hurt anyone ever again. Because you'll have this as a reminder." You grabbed his arm and yanked his shirt off of him. Your hands lit up in flames. "This is going to hurt." Your laughter and his cries filled the alley as you placed your flaming palms on his chest. Leaving hand prints, burn marks that will be there for the rest of his life. "Now go. And don't breath a word of this." You removed your hands and the wall of fire fell down. He ran.

Your fire diminished and you collapsed on the ground in tears. If your fire didn't work then .... you wouldn't be in the same place you are now. Your soft whimpers filled the alley until you heard footsteps, you pulled your knife out, thinking it was the man from before. "What did I tell you, you Bastard?"

"Such language Y/N." Jonathan stepped around the corner. "Didn't peg you for the type."

"If you had been here a few moments ago you would understand." You wiped your tears and started walking away.

"I was." You stopped dead in your tracks. "I saw what happened, I came to check on you. I'm not completely heartless. Only mostly." He let out a small chuckle.

"Well I'm not okay." You turned to face him. "I just killed three men and burned another. Sure they were going to hurt me but .... I don't know." You sat down in front of the wall and looked up at Jonathan.

"Y/N, I understand. How about I take you home and you can sleep huh?" He lifted you up by your hands and you started walking.

"Why are you being so nice? Weren't you supposed to kill me?" Your voice was small but your words were still heard.

His arm was around you, supporting you as you walked because you were still weak from the fire.

"After all you've been through I think you need a break." And that's the second your thoughts on him changed.
