Sebastian was slammed against a wall by one dark figure. Your fire boiled right under your skin just about to be released. Just before the flames could explode out of you a sharp sting was felt in the side of your neck and you couldn't move.
A second figure moved out from behind you and joined the first in hurting Sebastian. His cries of pain echoed through the alley.
With a new found determination you pushed your fire out of you. The flames forced themselves towards the two dark figures hurting your friend. The second dark figure spotted the flames and motioned to the first. They dropped Sebastian and ran. Leaving a your best friend in a crumpled heap on the other side of the alley. He wasn't moving.
The little strength you had was enough for you to stop them. "Canicus... " you whispered. And he appeared.
His eyes found you on the ground. "Capture them... Alive." You pointed to the two figures about to leave the alley way.
Canicus through his own fire out and it wrapped around the figures like a rope. The rope of fire pulled them back and blocked their exit. The entire alley was covered in a dome of fire. Nothing could get in or out.
Your strength came back. Whatever they injected into you only lasted a few moments. Just long enough to protect them from your fire. Somehow they knew what would stop you. Your eyesight cleared and you pushed up off of the ground. Sebastian lay in a puddle of his own blood. Gasping for air.
"Sebastian." You cried. Your voice cracking. You ran to him and pulled him into your lap. "Bash.." Upon further inspection of his wounds you discovered that there were giant knife wounds covering his chest. And they we're deep.
"Your going to be okay... I just have to patch it up that's all." The tears poured down your face. You we're more trying to convince yourself than you we're him.
"Y/N.. My mom-" he gasped for air. "Tell her.. Love her. -" his final ragged breaths were the only sounds in the alley. Your best friend whom you just got back, lay dying in for arms. His eyes became glassy and he went limp.
Your screams ripped through the alley way. Canicus noticed but didn't lose focus on keeping the two figures pinned against he wall. Rage filled you.
Carefully but quickly you set Sebastian's body on the ground. Blood covered your hands and your clothes.
"Child, I must go now." Canicus spoke to you. The ball of flames in his hands, that held the figures, flowed into your hands. Under your control. Then he was gone.
Your eyes moved to the crumpled body of your best friend. The longer you looked the more rage came. Finally your turned your attention to the two dark figures. Trapped in a ball of flames. Flames conjured up by the greater demon of fire. And controlled by his dangerous daughter.
The flames inside of you itched to be let out. But not just yet. Your hair changed to it's white color. The color that only came out when you changed to the form of you that was more demon than shadowhunter. The part that was the true daughter of the demon canicus. You caught a quick glimpse of yourself in a broken piece of glass on the ground. Your eyes were crackleing with your flames. Showing your true side.
You made your way over to the cage of flames. One figure cowered in the corner, the other stood and kept trying to break free. Your maniacal laughter filled the air.
"You won't ever break it. Or even pass through it." The voice sounded like you but also sounded like another voice also came with it. The voice of a demon. "I'm going to tear you to shreds." You sneered the cowering figure now fainted in the corner. Leaving just you and the one who was assumed to be the leader.
"Why? " you growled at him. "Why Sebastian? Huh? And how-How on earth did you know what to inject me with?"
The voice could have been familiar, but it wasnt the top thing on your mind. The words were the very first thing on your mind. Not the could-be-familiar voice.
"The injection information was given to me by ... A special friend of mine. And yours too. As for young Sebastian verlac, He's merely one small part of my entire plan." The figure was still dark. Wearing all black, and a mask over their face. But the eyes of the figure turned towards the body of Sebastian, his body layed in the corner of the alley. The body that no longer contained the spirit of your best friend. The body that is now just a hallow she'll of what once was. The body that is the reason you we're going to kill these two dark figures. Just as soon as you got some answers.
You reached your free hand through the cage of fire and wrapped it around his throat. "Why Sebastian...." You asked. Your voice cracked slightly at the end. But you didn't. "What did he do?"
The voice came in ragged gasps. But you didn't let go. Just listened to it. "He was the target. And my cover."
"Cover for what? Sebastian is-was just a simple shadowhunter boy. He was going to visit his family. And now they will be visiting him... At a funeral..." Your grip tightened at the mere thought of Sebastian's inevitable upcoming funeral.
"Exactly, he- was... Going to alicante." The figure choked and sputtered.
"What does that have to do with anything?!?" You screamed and lit the hand holding onto the figures throat up in flames.
He just choked. And cried out against the flames. Not answering. You cried out in frustration and threw him away from you. Not hard enough to kill him. But he was on the ground. Not willing to wait any longer you walked through the wall of flames. You didn't take it down you just passed through.
You had to know who it is that killed your friend. The murderer that took him from you. The one who took everything.
The figure was coughing on the ground, his hands up at his neck, trying to releive some of the pain. Yanking the mask off of him you gasped. The dome of the cage faltered and fell down. But you threw it right back up. Not giving them a chance to run.
"How could you???" You cried and screamed. "You know how much he means to me! You know that Jonathan!"
