Chapter 18: Past Illusions

(Miroku POV)

I grunted softly after knocking into the ground. He rubbed my head and looked around. Immediately I sat sat up, "Sango!" She wasn't anywhere nearby. He must have separated us on purpose, he planned for it. I thought.

Once I realized everything I stood up and dusted myself off. As I vent over to pick up my staff, my whole body froze to an eminence pain that struck throughout my body. My eyes went wide as I fell to my knees.

"N-No...this can't be....that's impossible..." I muttered in more of disbelief than pain. My right hand shook vigorously and as I turn it to face my palm there it was. The wind tunnel. "AHHH!" I gripped on to my wrist.

(Sango POV)

"Miroku!" I yelled as I examined the entire room that we were in. So this was a trap? It was all confusing. Of course it would be. Our whole plan just fell apart.

I stood there thinking of what to do. My eyes went wide feeling someone behind me and I immediately turned around, reaching back for my hiraikotsu.

I was shocked, basically stunned at who I saw. "K-Kohaku..." My eyes trembled as father laid besides him dead.

Kohaku looked at me with dead cold eyes and immediately attacked me. Without hesitation I swung my hiraikotsu to block the attack. Is this...an illusion? It has to be...

(Inuyasha POV)

I swung my tessaiga at a wall as the energy of the wind scar released itself. No effect like the past couple of attempts.

I panted softly and slowly raised my tessaiga up. I was about to swing till an arrow flew across my cheek, slightly grazing it. My eyes went wide hearing the arrow hit the wall.

Slowly I lowered my sword and turned around, my heart sunk into the pit of my stomach. "Kikyo..." I mumbled. There, right in front of my eyes stood Kikyo, her now empty bow pointed at me.

Kikyo gently lowered her bow and once it was at her side she dropped it. My body snapped back into reality as she began to collapse. I ran over to her and caught her in time, "Kikyo!"

She looked up at me, tears in her eyes. "Oh Inuyasha...I'm so glad I could see you again." My eyes softened just by looking at her face. She continued, "But...it seems you've already forgotten about me."

I immediately shook my head, "No! I haven't! How could I? You're the first person I ever loved.." I pulled Kikyo close to my chest as she wrapped her arms around me.

(Kagome POV)

I landed softly on to the ground thanks to Shippo expanding himself with his fox magic. "Thanks Shippo."

Shippo looked around worriedly, "We've been separated from the group, what do we do now Kagome?"

I examine the room, "I'm not sure.." immediately after I said that, a passage way opened up behind us. Shippo and I exchanged looks and decided to head towards it.

A/N: Lol Ik ik, finally I posted the next chapter. I'm going to definitely get back into it. I know I've said this hundreds of times but I really do mean it. So I hope you enjoyed the short chapter.
