Chapter 32: When Sesshomaru Visits

A/N: 

Hey guys I wanted to briefly mention something. A while back I had noticed that Inuyasha: After Story had been ranked as #167  under #Inuyasha I believe. It was pretty thrilling to have a story ranked, however it wasn't deserved. 

I am not the owner of Inuyasha, Rumiko Takahashi is. Yes, I do create the new storyline in my fanfic and the new characters are mine but Inuyasha, his friends, and the whole era belong to the creator. So it just felt wrong that I was getting a ranking, but I noticed that it got taken away. It's a little sad but it didn't feel well earned.

So in any fanfic, don't forget to give credit to the original artist and creator. 

Also on another note, I began rewatching Inuyasha but in Japanese with the english subtitles, and I have to say it is very different. The story line may be the same but I definitely see the character's personality a bit differently so lets see how this chapter goes without changing any of the characters too much. 

This chapter turned out to be a little longer then I expected but the longer the better, lol.

(3rd Person)

"Lord Sesshomaru! Lord Sesshomaru!" Jaken screamed frantically while pushing aside bushes and branches out the way. Ahead of him was Sesshomaru looking through a nobleman's carriage. "Lord Sesshomaru?" Jaken called out to him, approaching to see what the demon was up to. 

Sesshomaru pulled up a kimono, its fabric shinning brightly from the light. "A kimono? You attacked the nobleman of this carriage for this fine looking Kimono? Is it for Rin?" Jaken said. Sesshomaru looked down at the little demon and Jaken was immediately filled with fear, "O-Oh! Forgive me my lord! It isn't my concern to know what you do for Rin!" Jaken cried as he bowed his head. 

Sesshomaru turned around and began flying up, "Jaken, let's go." Jaken looked up and nodded, grabbing on to Sesshomaru's fur. 

~At the Village~

"Raise it up a little more! It's almost nightfall, we need those lanterns up!" A villager shouted out to a man at the roof top of a hut. 

Everyone was working hard, building up stands and lanterns. Smoke was filling the air as people cooked various meats and other foods. Children ran around, in excitement as their laughter filled the streets. 

(Kagome's POV) 

"Wow, everything looks so beautiful!" I said, looking at all the lights being raised up. A villager bowed his head towards me. "Thank you Priestess Kagome. This festival is looking to be a good one!" 

I smiled and walked over to Inuyasha who held Ame in his arm. "Okay, I got the flowers, let's go before it gets dark." Inuyasha nodded and we walked to the long staircase leading to Kikyo's grave. 

We made it to the top as others were just about leaving after offering their prayers. Some of the women in the village had raised a few lanterns and decorated her shrine very nicely. I lowered to my knees and placed a bouquet of flowers in front of it. "Hello Kikyo. Everything is so beautiful here. Thank you for looking after this village. I hope you're resting peacefully. Please keep watching over Akiro and Ame, keep them safe for us." I prayed softly.
