A/N:

Just like I promised, sort of. Here are your chapters. There's only two, because something came up and I haven't had the time to proofread and add things to the 3rd chapter so that'll come up in like 2-3 days.

But either way! I hope ENJOY!

(Inuyasha POV)

I looked around at the shrine before my eyes. That strange familiar scent filled my nose. "Kago-" I was immediately cut off by the sight of her quick sprint to the main household where she spent most of her life, so far, growing.

(Kagome POV)

My heart started pumping as I quickly slid the door open. The scent of moms cooking filled the house. I felt my body tremble as I took one step up and started making my way to the living room.

I took a deep breathe before reaching over, hesitantly. Would my family be on the other side, would I wake up once I open this door? Questions flood my mind. I shut my eyes and slid the door open.

(3rd Person POV)

Grandpa looked up from the newspaper that was dropped daily in front of the house. His eyes widened as he leaned against the coffee table to boost himself up. His hand trembled as he reached out, eyes filled with tears. "Kagome!...Kagome you're back!"

Kagome's mother walked out of the kitchen, "What's wrong-" She immediately dropped the stirring spoon that was in her hand as she made her way to her daughter, "Oh...Kagome!"

Kagome's mother didn't hesitate to embrace her daughter in a hug. Kagome felt the tears quickly rush out her eyes as she stood motionless, in shock.

Her mother pulled away and stared at her concerned, "Kagome?..." She asked.

Kagome blinked and quickly fell to her knees and hugged her mothers legs, "MOM!...Mom! Mom! Mom!" She cried out. Inuyasha walked in, holding Ame with one arm as he watched the scene before him. Kagome's mother bent down and held her daughter close to her, gently stroking her hair.

Within minutes a door from upstairs was opened. Footsteps approached the stair case, quickly making its way down. Inuyasha turned to see the young middle school Sota, who stood in shock and disbelief.

"Inuyasha!" He said cheerfully walking over to him before turning his head and seeing his beloved older sister. Sota quickly ran and attacked Kagome with a warm hug. "Kagome! Big sis!" He cried out happily.

(Inuyasha POV)

Seeing the warm family reunite gave me a sense of happiness and yet some sort of guilt.

After everything settled down, Kagome's mother looked at me, quickly taking notice of the sleeping Ame in my arm. She gasped and quickly went over, "This is your baby boy!?"

I smiled warmly, "Yeah, his name is Ame. Here carry him." I said softly and shifted my arms to pass Ame into the arms of his grandmother.
Kagome walked over and stood next to me as Sota and the old man gathered around to greet the new family member.

(Kagome POV)

It's so crazy. I'm back, but how? The sacred jewel doesn't exist anymore and even if Rui had created a similar one, it wouldn't have the same strength or meaning to the well.

We sat at the dinner table, enjoying the scent of my mothers home cooking. "Sis, I like your new outfit." He teased me.

I chuckled and lifted my head proudly, "Sota don't be jealous." I said back before giggling.

We chatted for a while. I told them how our friends (Miroku and Sango) had 3 kids already when I got back, the twins and a boy. Since I've been with them, they've only had one more, though I think on Sango's part, that's enough. I explained my pregnancy and all the problems we had to face. Though for her sake, and for not having to explain the whole problem, I decided it was best not to mention Akiro.

Ame had switched to my arms and was now squirming around, waking up from his slumber.

Inuyasha got up, "I'll go feed him." He said. I shook my head and got up as well, "No it's alright, I'll manage." I excused myself from the table and made my way upstairs.

I opened up my room door and smiling brightly seeing that everything remained the same. I walked over to my bed and sat down at the edge of it, sighing in pleasure, "Ahh...a real bed. I've missed this."

Inuyasha walked in and sniffed the air, "It still smells like you in here." He crawled on to the bed and laid down. I chuckled and lowered my sleeve to breast feed Ame.

"This is great, but...I'm still confused as to how we got here." I said, while turning around to look at Inuyasha.

He stared at me and pointed the Akiro's heart, "Maybe it's that." He said bluntly before continuing. "While going through the well, I noticed it shining brightly."

I stared at him shocked before looking back down at Ame, "I see...I guess things do happen for a reason. But if I could've had the choice, I'd rather choose to still have my son alive with me.."

"Kagome! Inuyasha! Dinners ready!" Sota yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

Inuyasha sat up and kissed my cheek, "Yeah..me too." He whispered before getting up.

I smiled some and waited for Ame to finish before we made our way back down.

"Ahh! I've missed your food so much mom!" I smiled and placed a hand on my cheek as I savored the taste of her food in my mouth.

Grandpa pointed his chopsticks at me, "I have to say, you look much thinner since the last time you were here." I chuckled nervously, though I felt much bigger with all the baby fat.

After dinner, mother offered me a hot bath, offering to watch over Ame in the meantime. She was honestly fascinated with her new grandson. I think I was still in shock at the fact that I was here. But I honestly didn't care anymore. If this was a dream, I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest and hopefully never wake up.
