A/N:

Hello! I hope everyone is safe and well. I don't have any announcements for you. These ratings under #inuyasha are weird. A few days ago I was at 35, now I'm at 575, and I bet when I publish this, I'll be some other rank. So weird.

Regardless of any scores, I'm thankful to all of you that have read my story and enjoyed it so far. I see new people joining and that makes me happy because there are still people who love Inuyasha!

I hope everyone stays say!

(Inuyasha POV)

Neither of us said a word. The only noise was the wood cracking in the fire, Kagome fiddling with the plates as she served dinner, and Ame having his nightly conversation with his toys.

"Here." Kagome said, breaking the silence while handing me a bowl of rice.

I nodded and took the bowl out of her hands, "Thanks."

It went silent again. Kagome laid out dishes of pork and vegetables, she added in a few sweet dumplings as well. I watched her pick up Ame and place him on her lap. She grabbed a small bowl of rice with vegetables and spoon fed Ame. I kept my gaze at them before Kagome returned to look at me. I flinched and quickly looked down at the food.

"Thanks for the food." I mumbled and reached out, grabbing slices of pork and placing them over my rice. I took at bite and relaxed, "Wow, tastes good! You should try some."

Kagome kept her eyes on Ame, while he tried spoon feeding himself, though the rice hit his cheeks more than his mouth. "Thanks, but I don't want any. I'm feeling a bit nauseous so I'll just stick to rice and vegetables."

I listened to her and didn't say another word after that. When we finished, she focused on changing Ame and putting him to sleep while I gathered all our dishes to rinse them off. I walked out the hut to find myself with Sango, "Oh Inuyasha! How are you?"

I sighed, "Hey, I'm fine." I dipped our dishes in buckets of water.

She tilted her head, "Is something wrong? You seem troubled."

I sat on the floor and sighed, "I messed up. I said something really bad to Kagome because....well because I'm afraid."

Sango, knelt over besides me, "Oh, does this have to do with Kagome's pregnancy?"

I nodded.

Sango let out a breath of sigh, "Kagome really almost died. Sometimes I don't consider it much, but it must have been terrifying for you. Then, after a few weeks, you lose one of your own. I can only imagine why you're afraid right now."

I stared at my hands. Sango turned to look at me while continuing, "But I don't think you're the only one who is afraid. I'm sure Kagome doesn't show it for your sake, but I'm sure she's feeling the same thing you are too. Whatever you said to her, it probably hurt her, but it could've also started a resolution to both your fears."

I stared at her, taking in her wisdom. Sango stood up, "Talk with her tomorrow. I'm sure she has a lot to say too."

With that, Sango made her way back home.
