Chapter Twenty Seven || Nia's POV

***I’m SO sorry for the wait! I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed you guys’ comments and votes, but I understand that when I’m not updating there’s not really any reason for you to comment. I’ve been wanting to update for so long but things have just been so so busy (end of term, Christmas, etc) I am really, really sorry, and thanks for sticking with me!

THIS STORY IS NOT FINISHED! It’s not even nearly finished. I’ve written so much more, and I will try to update more often. There will also probably be a sequel, because I love writing it so much. I think this is the story that I am most passionate about out of every fanfiction I’ve written, and I’m not giving up on it. You’re just going to have to be patient with me :)

After Chloe, Paige and Autie’s performance, Asia and I are hanging out together in our dressing room, with Maddie and Kenzie. Maddie looks super preoccupied, but she won’t tell anyone what’s wrong. We’re all getting into our group dance costumes when Miss Kristina and the rest of the girls come in. They’re glowing with happiness that their dance went well. Autie has her arm around Kendall and they’re talking and laughing. Paige and Chloe look like they’re eight again, when they were twinnies. They’re holding hands and just smiling, so happy that the trio went off without any problems.

“I have something to tell everyone,” Miss Kristina says. It sounds important, and we all wait expectantly. Maddie looks up from the piece of paper she’s been staring at for the last ten minutes. “We’re going to have two new additions to this elite competition team.”

Everyone gasps. We weren’t expecting that! Weirdly, I see Brooke wink at Maddie. Did she already know? I look to see Maddie’s reaction, and she’s staring into space, like she’s trying to work things out inside her head. Suddenly, she jolts back down to earth.

“Miss Kristina?” she asks breathlessly.

“Yes, Maddie?”

“Is… is one of the new additions called Harmony?”

Miss Kristina gives her a weird look. “Yes, she is. She was here today, just getting a taste for what competitions are like here. I am assuming she is the Harmony who helped you with your award winning costume?”

Maddie nods, beaming. “Yep! And she’s coming to our dance school? And joining this team?”

“She is indeed,” Miss Kristina smiles.

Maddie grins happily at Brooke. “Yay!”

“Who’s the other new addition, Miss Kristina?” I ask, raising my voice over the excited whispers.

“She’s called Lisa Thorne. Her parents adopted Harmony after Harmony’s mother died and her father found it hard to cope.”

Maddie looks at the ground. Did she know about that? Poor Harmony!

“So, girls,” Miss Kristina continues. “I guess you’d better get ready for the group dance. Neat buns, please!”
