'Tis the season to be jolly, as they say. And I am reasonably 'jolly'. Although Santa hadn't delivered me what I wished for last year, he was good to me in giving me success with my covers. I laugh as I type in the description for my latest video, a Christmas cover. Thank you for everything you have given me this year guys.

"Ellie!" My mum calls from downstairs. "Rose is here!"

"Coming!" I call back, quickly closing my laptop once the video of Silent Night has been posted. It was Christmas Eve and every year Shawn, Jeremy, Rose and I exchanged gifts before the actual day. Grabbing my bag with everyone's gifts, I run down the stairs and meet Rose.

"Ready?" She asks excitedly.

"Yes. You?" I smile at her as she nods.

"I'm so happy that even after all that has happened this tradition isn't broken," she says as we walk through the snow to Shawn's house.

"Same. To be honest, I didn't think Shawn would even remember, but he was the one to bring it up," I reply before the conversation is ended by us reaching Shawn and Jeremy.

"Merry Christmas Eve," Jeremy throws one arm each over Rose and I.

"Shall we head up to the tree house?" Shawn suggests. We all go to the large tree in his backyard which holds the treehouse and climb the ladder one by one. I reach the top first and wrap my arms tightly around me, sitting in the same corner that I always do.

"Okay!" Rose rubs her hands together. "Who's first?"

"Here," I say, opening my backpack and giving out my presents. At the same time they open their gifts. Due to my YouTube channel blowing up this year, I was able to spend a decent amount of money on each of my three friends. I bought Rose the set of makeup brushes she was always admiring, Jeremy a new leather jacket as his was becoming too small, and Shawn a small loop pedal for his guitar. They all stared at me, mouths hanging open, once they had opened their gifts.

"Ellie..." Rose starts.

"Don't say that it's too generous. I had the money and I wanted to," I smile a little. We sit in silence for a little while long before Jeremy speaks up.

"Well, you're the best little sister I never had," he moves to sit next to me.

"You have a little sister," Shawn points out.

"And I'm older than you," I add.

"Still," he shrugs. We continue to exchange gifts. Rose got me a new hoodie.

"You need to wear another colour other than black," she says as I tear the wrapping off of the baby pink hoodie.

"Thank you. Just for you, I will wear this," I roll my eyes, beginning to open my gift from Jeremy. He got me a simple yet elegant black notebook.

"Shawn was telling me how your music project for this year is to write a song," Jeremy explains. "So, unless you already have one, here's your first song book!"

"Thank you, Jeremy," I lean into his side.

"You guys have to open your gifts from me at the same time," Shawn says, handing us three gifts of the same size. Rose, Jeremy, and I follow his instructions. Pulling back the wrapping, I reveal a picture frame with myself and my three best friends as young kids in it. We were standing bellow the treehouse, the exact treehouse we are sat in right now, in a group hug. I smile at the picture.

"Shawn geez you're going to make me cry," Jeremy laughs, but we could all see that he probably could. We all laugh with Jeremy.

In that moment, I felt as if it were only the four of us. I could stay up here forever with them. But the Christmas period would come to an end and things will go back to normal.

At least I can enjoy now.
