You know you're doomed when you've lost hope about everything in this world. She didn't have to die. But that's how this world went. Rick was the one to shoot Sophia. We all stood looking at the scene. Herschel and his people started to make their way back to the house.

Shane followed quickly after them. "You knew she was in there! And you kept it from us!" I follow up right behind him, knowing he was ready to pop off on someone at any moment.

Herschel stops at the porch, looking back at us. "I didn't," Herschel told him.

"I'm supposed to believe that?" Shane spat back.

Herschel huffed. "Otis used to capture them and put them in there. Maybe he put her in there before he died." Herschel argued.

I've decided not to partake in any more arguments that involve Shane. If he didn't kill Otis than we would have known that she was gone long before and could have avoided a lot of shit. "Get him off my land! Matter of fact, all of you get off my land!" He yelled at Rick who was trying to get Shane to back off.

Herschel went inside, all of us seemed to break off a bit to process what happened. Jessica sat with me in the RV. Tear stained her cheeks as she laid her head on my shoulder, Caleb was out helping with the grave digging. We had a funeral for those we lost, Sophia and Herschel's family.

Beth turned up sick, some kind of state of shock and Herschel was nowhere to be seen. He might have gone into town so we sent Rick and Glenn out there. I went to the house, to check on Beth who I've been helping so far, to see Lori walking towards the car. "What are you doing?" I asked shutting the door that she opened.

She looks up at me for a moment. "I'm going to find Rick. He and Glenn went out to find Herschel. You're not gonna stop me. If you want to come let's go." Nodding I looped around to the other side and got in the passenger.

I was in charge of the map while she drove. She'd told me that she asked Daryl to go find them. He denied saying something about being done fetching people. That he was done caring for these people.

One point I couldn't find where on the map we were. "Let me see that," Lori says glancing at me

I shake my head at her. "No, I'll figure it out. You keep your eyes on the road." I insist only for her to take the map.

She looked down at it and a walker stood in the middle of the road. "Lori!" Next thing I know we swerve and crash. Then it all goes black.

My ears wouldn't for the love of god stop ringing. My leg was throbbing. And my head was pounding. I opened my eyes to see that the car had flipped on Lori's side. The groan of walkers snapped me out of my thoughts as I looked to see that Lori was up and a walker was breaking the windshield.

Carefully I reached to my right thigh and pulled my knife out of its hold. "Lori," I said coming off more like a whisper than anything. She looked over to me seeing that the seat belt kept me in place for the time being. Carefully, I handed her the knife. She killed the walker and presided to go out the back. Holding in my breath, I unbuckled the seat belt and fell.

Slowly, I might add, seeing that my foot was stuck. It being dark didn't help this. I finally got unstuck and made my way out the back to Lori. She stood. A cut across her four head, her lip was split and had some traces of walker blood.

I stood and looked myself over. A huge gash sat on my forehead, my ankle was killing me, and my head wouldn't stop pounding. We started walking to what we thought was the way to town. Or I should say Lori walked. I limped behind her trying not to pass out.

The dark road lit up as a car pulled up behind us. We both turned around to see the other car from the farm. Lori kept walking while I stopped. The driver door opened and Shane came out. Letting out a breath that I didn't know I was holding.

I could tell that he wanted us to get in the car. I'm not going to argue with him. Lori, on the other hand, was arguing. Opening the back door I got in the back and laid across the back seats. They came in the car just as I fell asleep. My head finally stopped pounding.
