Herschel sewed us both up and had us settled in by nightfall. The group had offered to make dinner for Herschel and his family, which's an extremely nice gesture in my opinion. Herschel's given me this old crutch from when Shawn apparently broke his leg. The moment I could I was out of that room, telling Jess about the event as she was finally on her feet, though Caleb would prefer her not to.

I found myself in Daryl's room, sitting in the chair while he slept. My head leans against the wall, eyes are drawn to the outside of the window. Barely anywhere in front of the house was visible in the darkness. Caleb said he'd send food up for us at some point while they ate dinner which it all that I'm waiting for at this point.

I glance over at Daryl, who's still sleeping, making me smile. He was rather peaceful looking while he slept. Like all the stubbornness and anger washed away and all that's left is peace. "You scared the shit out of me, you know?" I question, looking down at my hands. "You got shot and went down and for a moment I thought I was back servin'. I thought I was gonna get shot next and go down."

I reach up, wiping the tears from my eyes. "I'm not goin' anywhere Sunshine." Daryl's voice fills the room, making me jump and look up to meet his blue eyes. My face heats up in embarrassment as Daryl shifts on the bed, patting the spot beside him. Carefully, I get up and hobble over to the other side of the bed and sit down next to him. "How's your leg?"

I place both of my legs on the bed, my hand instinctively running over my bandaged up stab wound. "Getting better. Hurts like Hell." I tell him with a small smile. "How's your side?" I fire back, leaning against the headboard with a sigh.

Daryl shifts, pulling the blanket closer to him like I didn't see the scars that matched mine. "Like Hell." He says and I nod, turning my attention to the door as it opened, showing Carol with our shares of food.

She walks in, setting the tray down. "Thought you two'd be hungry." She leans down, placing a kiss on Daryl's cheek. Daryl's really hesitant on it, nearly flinching out of the way.

I nod to her. "Thank you." She smiles, walking out of the room, closing the door behind her. I turn and look to Daryl with a small laugh. "That how you react to girls kissin' you?" I question and he rolls his eyes at me. "Cause now I don't even want to bother thanking you for savin' my ass," I say and he turns and looks to me. I smile, leaning down and pressing a kiss to his cheek. "Thanks for everything Dare," I say, reaching over him and taking my share of food from the tray and eating.

Daryl was up and out of the house the next day, I was getting used to moving around camp without the crutch. Caleb hasn't left my side since I got out of the house. Jess' always off with Carl seeing as Caleb's stepped up recently with being a person in charge. We sat around the fire pit, cooking breakfast I sit between Jess and Caleb as we eat.

My eyes kept glancing to Glenn, who was fidgeting where he sat. He looked between Maggie, who was on the porch, and Dale, who was behind me. Slowly, he stands up, looking around the group sheepishly. "Uh hey, guys. . .the barn's full of walkers." He says and everyone looks around at each other in shock.

Everyone was up on their feet quickly, rushing off to the other side of the farm to get to the barn. We got there and all that we could hear was the groans and moans of walkers. I peek through the cracks, catching a glimpse of near twenty-five walkers. They all started to pound on the door, making me jump back a bit.

Caleb held my arm, pulling me back a bit. "You can't tell me you're okay with this!" Shane yelled at Rick. I look between the pair, reaching up and holding my dog tags.

Rick locks eyes with Shane and shakes his head. "I'm not! But we are guests here and this is not our land!" Rick reasons with him.

Shane rolls his eyes at the former sheriff. "Oh please! This is our lives, man." Shane continues arguing.

Walkers start to bang on the door some more. "Lower your voices the both of you." I warm them, glancing at the door in worry.

Shane glances at me then back to the group. "We either got to go in there, and make things right, or we just got to go. Now we've been talking about Fort. Benning for a while-"

I cut Shane off. "We can't go!"

Shane turns and looks right at me. "Why Luna? Why!?" He starts arguing with me.

"Because my daughter's still out there..." Carol stepped up

Shane sighed as we all looked to Carol. "Okay, I think it's time we start to consider the other possibilities. . ." Shane told Carol, who's been trying to keep high hopes on finding Sophia.

I look at him like he's crazy. "We're not leaving Sophia behind!" I tell him

Daryl steps up, looking at Shane. "We're so close to findin' this girl! I just found her damn doll two days ago!" Daryl tried to convince Shane.

Shane just kind of laughed at Daryl. You could tell that he got mad at that. He was giving his all to find this little girl. Heck, he took an arrow to the left side of his rib cage and a bullet to the head while looking for her. "You found her doll Daryl, that's what you did. . .you found, A DOLL!" Shane yelled

I take a step unconsciously towards Daryl in the fear of what was going to come next. "Man you don't know what the hell you're talking about!" Daryl yelled making the walkers stir in the barn.

"Let me tell you what! If she saw you looking the way you did she'd run in the other direction!" Shane yelled at Daryl, who looked like he was ready to kill him.

Both of them started to go at it, so Rick and I stepped up to keep them from killing each other. He pulled Shane back while I pushed Daryl back. I put my hands on his chest and pushed him back a bit. He put up a good fight, even if he loosened up seeing me get in harm's way being in the middle of it.

Shane pushed Rick down before attempting to hit Daryl but ended up punching me in the jaw. "YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Daryl yelled running at him before T dog, Glenn, and Dale held him back.

Caleb moved to advance on Shane, being pushed back by Rick. Meanwhile, I was too disoriented to pay any attention to what they were saying. Eventually, Daryl came up to my side, breaking the tension and leaving the fight. My lip was split open, blood was gushing from my tongue where I bit it, and blood ran down my nose.

I fell to my knees letting the blood drip to the ground trying to stop this pounding headache. "Is everyone done?! Are we done?! Are you happy Shane?! Punched Luna! And over what? Your control issues? Just let me talk to Herschel!" Rick yelled at him.

I glance up at him, spitting a huge mix of blood and spit. "Herschel sees these things as people...sick people. His wife, his stepson are in there." Dale told Rick.

In all the yelling, commotion, and the smell of blood the walkers started to get riled up. They all started to push on the door making it bend a bit. Daryl pulled my hair out of my face as I spit the blood out of my mouth. "Let's go, they need to settle down," Rick said as he motioned for everyone to leave.
