My heels dig into the ground below me as I hold Daryl. He's panting, struggling to get out of my grip. "Chokeholds illegal." Daryl breathed out, slowing down his struggle in my arms. A smirk pulled at my face at his words of wisdom.

Rick crouched down in front of us and looked at Daryl. "File a complaint." He grunted. "Now we were hoping to be able to have a nice talk over this. You think you can handle that?" Daryl shifts a bit before looking at Rick and nodding his head. Rick gives me a look and I hesitate before letting him go and standing up.

Daryl glance back, almost showing the shock that I had been the one to take him down. "Now your brother was a threat to us all, it's my fault I chained him to the roof," Rick tells him before T-dog starts to step forward.

Caleb tried to stop him from getting involved. "No it's my fault, I dropped the key." I sigh, shaking my head. So much for him not talking about the incident. That's what it was, after all, an incident.

I glance around at the group before settling on Rick. "How 'bout we jus' go and get your brother. Rick'll take us, won't you?" I questioned him, throwing the cop under the bus. Rick hesitated but nods, clearly not liking the position that he's in at the moment. He and Shane got into an argument about it before we were able to pull a small group together.

Caleb pulled me to the side, looking me in the eyes. "You be careful okay?" I smile, nodding to the blonde. "And come back." I roll my eyes at his paranoia for a moment.

We start up the truck again, preparing to leave before the sleeve of my jacket was grabbed. I turn to see Jess, looking at me in worry. "You'll be back right?"

I smile down at her and open my mouth to speak, but Daryl beats me to it as he walks up to the truck. "Course she will. Don't you worry little lady." Jess smiles, moving to the hunter and whispering something to him before running off. "Let's go!" Daryl yelled, standing in the back of the truck now.

I wave to Caleb, getting in the back with Daryl and Glenn, T-dog and Rick being in the front with Rick driving. I stood by the door, across from Daryl, who raised an eyebrow at me. "What?" I questioned, adjusting my bow on my back.

"Didn't catch your name." He tells me, looking at his crossbow and I smirk.

"Didn't throw it." He rolls his eyes. "Luna, Luna Shadow. US Marines." He looks up from the crossbow and to me, he doesn't look as shocked about that being hat I did.

Silence filled the truck after that. The drive seemed to take hours as we went down the practically empty road to Atlanta. I didn't think I'd be back after the first encounter. Guess things change quickly.

"He'd better be okay," Daryl said, picking at the dry dirt that sat on his crossbow. "It's my only word on the matter," I looked to him before shaking my head and looking to Glenn as I sat next to Daryl in the back.

"I told you the geeks can't get at him." T-Dog said, "The only thing that's gonna get through that door is us."

Soon enough the van came to a stop and Glenn put it in park. "We walk from here," Glenn says and we got out of the truck.

We got out of the truck, running down the train tracks and towards the city. Quickly, we slipped through the fence. "Merle first or guns?" Rick asked and I was tempted to slap him for his stupidity.

The look that crossed Daryl was trouble. "Merle!" Daryl yelled at him. "We ain't even having this conversation," Daryl said and Rick glared at him.

"We are! You know the geography. It's your call." Rick said to Glenn as we started to run towards the city.

"Merle's closest. The guns would mean doubling back." Glenn told us as I let out a breath of relief. "Merle first."

I made out way into the city, getting to the store that we had left just yesterday. Rick went in first and motioned to the lone walker that walked in the store. The store was a wreck but on the upside, it wasn't as overrun as I thought it would be.

"Damn. You are one ugly skank." Daryl whispered, shooting the female walker in the head. "Come on." He said and we took off jogging to the staircase.

We ran up the stairs until we reached the top. Just don't look over the edge Luna I told myself as T-Dog cut the chain to the door and watched as it fell to the floor.

Daryl kicked the door open and we ran out. "Merle! Merle!" Daryl yelled as we ran to where he was supposedly chained up. "NO!" Daryl yelled as we came to see dried blood all over the saw that laid on the ground. A bit away from the saw was Merle's severed right hand and a hanging pair of bloody handcuffs.

"Shit," I muttered, walking down the three steps and to the sight before me. In an instant, Daryl had whirled around and had his crossbow aimed at T-dog.

With no emotion, Rick held up his python and pointed it to Daryl's right temple. I tensed up a bit, flicking my gaze to Glenn as I tightened my grip on the handle of my katana.

"I won't hesitate. I don't care if every walker in the city hears it." Rick said and suddenly I found myself not trusting the sheriff that stood in front of me.

I looked to Daryl, seeing his lip tremble and he fights back the urge to cry. Running a hand through my hair, I walked back and looked to the blood that was splattered all around. "You got a do-rag or somethin'?" I heard Daryl ask T.

I looked to the group of four to see Daryl lean down and wrap up Merle's hand in the cloth. I looked away, wanting to throw up a bit at the sight.

"I guess the saw blade was too dull for the handcuffs," Daryl spoke. "Ain't that a bitch." I turned back around to see Daryl put the hand in Glenn's bag.

"He must have used a tourniquet--maybe his belt. Be much more blood if he didn't." I told them, both me and Daryl looking to the trail of blood that leads away from the scene.
