Chapter 7: Hiccups and Mixed Feelings

Chapter Seven

We finished the drama and so I wanted to show Joo Mi and Hye Jeong a new Kpop dance I learned. I grabbed my phone and turned on 4minute's what's your name? I spent hours learning the song.

Joo Mi: Ooooo I like the choreography! Make sure you teach me!!

Me: Haha sure!

Hye Jeong: Joo Mi unnie! Didn't your mom say that there was going to be a talent show at this school for a fundraiser? We should do it!!

Me: Oooo!! We should! Sounds like fun!!

Joo Mi: I don't know... you guys should do it...

Me: The three of us should do it!

Joo Mi: I don't really want to do it... it's embarrassing... And three for a dance group is weird...

Hye Jeong: Aww that's too bad then.... Jenny Unnie you should do a solo then...

Me: Ohh... hmm maybe then.

I was actually quite disappointed by Joo Mi. We usually always dance together. I still really wanted to do the show so I decided to do a solo but I was still upset. I knew that I had to practice really hard if I wanted to do a solo. I decided to go tomboy hip-hop style. I looked up numerous dances to find the perfect choreography on my phone while Joo Mi and Hye Jeong were fiddling and playing around.

Joo Mi: Hey we'll be back, we're going to walk around and stuff.

Me: Okay~

Hye Jeong: Bye Unnie~ we'll be back!

I was bored so I played my guitar. I was practicing a new song which was: I'm in love By: Narsha (BEG) I really like this song. I sang along with the chords...

Ooooo~ I'm in love~ Ahhh~ I fall in love~

Until I saw someone open the door of the classroom. I was flustered and surprised. It was Baek Hyun. I was embarrassed so my face rose to a bright red color.

Baek Hyun: Why did you stop? Haha

Me: Umm well... because you interrupted!

Baek Hyun: Haha you didn't sound bad but you seem embarrassed little tomato.

Me: I'm not a tomato!

I covered my face.

Baek Hyun: Haha then are you sick?

He placed his hands against my cheek which made me blush even more.

Baek Hyun: Hahah! You're blushing!

Me: N-noo I-I'mm NOT!

I was so embarrassed I tried to run out of the classroom but then I tripped on my shoe laces.

*These stupid shoe laces! They always get undone!!*

I thought I would be facing the floor in the split second but as I closed my eyes, I felt a pair of warm arms holding onto my body. I opened my eyes to see Baek Hyun's chest.

Me: (Hiccup) (Hiccup) (Hiccup)

Baek Hyun: Are you okay? Haha!

Me: Ye-eahh... (Hiccup)

Baek Hyun: Why are you hiccupping?

Me: Uh-hh I don't k-know (Hiccup)

Baek Hyun: Wait here I'll get you some water.

He said chuckling

I tried to calm myself so I sat infront of the piano and I started playing a Yiruma song. I closed my eyes and soothed my feelings. Everything was calm as I tried to hold my breath until....

Baek Hyun: BOOO!!!

Me: AHHH!!!

I grabbed him I put my head down. I rose my head up after ten seconds to see him.

Me: Yah!! You scared meee!!

I pouted.

Baek Hyun: I was just trying to help stop your hiccups. Hahaha your reaction was funny! And I think you hiccups are gone.

Me: Oh... they are! Haha!

Baek Hyun: You play the piano and guitar? You're good!

Me: I know right!! I'm kidding I'm not that good, I'm just decent!

Baek Hyun started playing the piano. He was really good... I love guys who are musically talented... What am I saying???

Baek Hyun: Jenny-ah teach me how to play the guitar! I wanna learn!

Me: Haha okay!

I grabbed the guitar and handed it to him. I placed his fingers and so that they would form the chord G.

Me: Try strumming!

Baek Hyun: okay!.... woahhh it sounds cool!!

I then showed him D major chord, E minor and C major. These four chords were used to play Park Bom's Don't Cry. I sang softly as he played the chords. He seemed quite amazed.

After about 30 minutes teaching Baek Hyun how to play the guitar, Joo Mi and Hye Jeong came back. And so Baek Hyun waved bye to me and left.

Joo Mi: You know Baek Hyun?

Me: Ohhh yeahh kinda...

I said blushing,

Joo Mi: Do you like him? It looks like it!

Me: Haha kindaaaa? Heheh... Maybe, but I can't!!!!

Joo Mi: I don't know if I should say this but.... Baek Hyun likes this other girl... errr... her name is Ye Rin

Me: Oh... it's okay... I didn't really LIKE him like anyways.

I lied. I was a bit heartbroken knowing that he liked a different girl. I didn't cry because I was stronger than my tears. I just laughed it off.

Joo Mi: Don't be too upset, you still have a chance!

Hye Jeong: Unnie... I heard he likes someone 97 out of 100 percent. And I think its Ye Rin.

Hye Jeong whispered to Joo Mi but I heard it.

*Even if I'm lucky I'm nothing but at LEAST 3% of his interest. I should have known it coming.*
