It was hard thinking straight today. All day I only kept staring at her. My mate. Our mate, Ace corrected me with a sigh. She was just perfect. Early this morning, when I was walking by the gym towards the pool area for a swim, I smelt an intoxicating smell, a mixture of lemon and lavender. It was very strong yet feminine and it drove my wolf crazy. He started howling inside my head. I steered myself towards the scent and found myself going towards the gym. As I looked through the window by the door, I saw three girls training. My gaze moved across the women before it latched itself on a particular one. She was wearing a tank top and sweatpants. Her long hair was tied in a ponytail though a few strands escaped the bonds and stuck to her sweaty face and neck. She had green eyes that were focused on her breathing as she trained. Mate, Ace yelled in my head. Shocked was the first feeling. But later it turned into happiness, on the fact that I won't be alone anymore. We won't be, our mates are finally here. Ace said. The conscious part of my mind reminded me that this being a werewolf hotel, the only possibility that these three were here was that they accompanied some alpha. I got angered at the thought that she might be an escort. Shut up and think. I can feel her wolf. She herself is a very strong wolf. Close to our power. How can you think of her as a lowly escort? Ace growled in my head. I growled back but decided to listen to him. She suddenly stopped and turned, looking around. I took it as a cue for me to leave. I didn't bother going for the swim and went directly to my suite, that I shared with my beta and my third. " That's pretty fast for a swim. And you don't even look wet. What happened? " Paul, my third asked as I stepped into the suite. Larry, my beta just looked up at me from his papers with raised eyebrows." I didn't feel like swimming. Let's just get ready and done with this. I don't want to waste my time." I said while scowling. Larry got up and said " I'll order breakfast. Let's get ready. " Paul only nodded while I turned and went into my room to shower and get dressed.

In the auditorium, my wolf was getting restless. When I was about to ask about it to my wolf, a new scent flooded my senses. It was lemon and lavender. When I turned, I saw my mate walk in confidently with the other girls. She looked strong and confident in the formal clothes she was wearing. I growled lowly at the other alphas who looked at my mate with lust. I heard two more growls behind me. I turned to look at my beta looking at the girl wearing a skirt and stocking behind my mate while my third looked at the third girl. I just raised my eyebrows but they didn't say anything. When they walked towards the registration desk, that's when it clicked that these women were the leaders of the only pack in the world that had women in the top three positions. I had yet to know their names as I do not attend a lot of such meetings. After sometime, I saw Alpha Jones approaching my mate and so I extended my hearing to listen into their conversation. Ooh, our mate is sassy, Ace said proudly. I too couldn't help a faint smirk on my lips. Later, when we were asked to take a seat I was glad that she was appointed a seat next to me. I kept staring at her, absorbing her features and her expressions of restlessness and annoyance while my stare also left her flustered. As soon as the lunch break was announced, she power walked to the restrooms. I chuckled, happy at seeing my effect on her.
When the results were being announced, I saw her tense up and focus all her attention on the screen. I felt proud when I saw her escalate to second position and couldn't help but feel happy for her. Alpha Jones didn't seem very happy and I didn't mind that as he has always been a pain. Our mate doesn't like him, I don't like him. Ace growled at him in my mind. The little exchange earlier had cleared that. And I didn't counter him as I completely agreed. Later when I went to congratulate her, I noticed how she gasped and couldn't help but think how cute she looked like that. She finally realised that I'm her mate. A smile made way to lips.
ALPHA ZIA, I was looking forward to meeting her.......
