Chapter 11: "Put your pants on and run your own life Kels."

It was already Friday and I was completely happy, again. That is, it was Friday. Who does not love Friday? Tomorrow was the weekend and that could not make me happier. All week he'd felt like he could die of teenage stress or something. I had to study for next week because I had exams, Tris was driving me crazy with Jake and the whole issue of appointments, we had to work late from Monday to Friday, which meant I did not have time to study and to top it all off, Today I had not seen Aaron in biology class.

Yes, it seemed stupid, but it seemed strange to me that I had missed it. Well, I do not know what kind of student he is, I've known him for three weeks and we've only exchanged four words at most.

Not counting the looks of stalker that gave you, Kels. Do not forget that.

Alex was avoiding me from the incident in the hallway and I did not know why. But I did not think to ask him either.

"Kels, the order of table three is ready." Bill, the cook and bartender of the place yelled at me, pulling me out of my thoughts. I went to the bar and took the tray with the drinks and brought them to table three. I sat down on one of the benches at the bar and watched Bill continue to prepare the orders from the other tables.

-What are you thinking about? I shrugged as I watched him move from side to side.

"Studying, subjects, school, exams ..." I nuzzled my nose. I think I'm going to explode. "He laughed and handed Sandy a tray, another of the waitresses, to stop and look at me for a second.

"Do not let things take you." Put your pants on and run your own life Kels. "He went to the other end of the bar to pour a few drinks to the typical drunks who were always there.

  I looked at Bill again.

  It was not ugly ...

Come on, Kelsey. First, he's your boss. Second, it's a lot bigger than you. Third and most importantly, he is probably married and has children.

But what he was trying to say was that he was in his mid-thirties and reminded me of Kurt Cobain. That's how cute it was. And it not only made me remember him for that, but was a fan of Nirvana and also spoke with those words and gave some fascinating advice that left me thinking. It was the fifth time this week that I was given a phrase to calm down for a few seconds and think.

"Kelsey, we have to attend to the tables, come on." Tris tapped my back gently and I stood up taking my notebook. I walked to a table that I did not even know what number it was and I ripped the sheet with the previous order. I stopped at

In front of whoever was staring at me and took the pencil staring at the paper, paying no attention.

"Good evening and welcome to Bill's bar, my name is Kelsey and I'll be your waitress tonight. Do you fancy any special on the list or do you want something special? "I already knew the phrase by heart, for I had been repeating it over and over for the last week.

"Yes, I would love you on a tray." I did not look up from my notebook but rolled my eyes.

This had already happened more than five times this day, and it was not because I was pretty.

No. Or they were drunk or wanted to become the macho America in front of their beloved friends.

  Teens get on my nerves.

"I'm sorry sir, I do not think that's possible." I heard two giggles and then a blow followed by a very audible "AY!"

"Stop being an idiot for a second Chad, you're getting on my nerves." I looked up as I recognized Alex's voice.
