Chapter 19: «-Kelsey, run now»

  "Damn it, Kelsey, if I were a man I'd probably have to be calming an erection right now. You look very sexy. I would rape you. What's more, I think I've already gotten excited.

  I could not help but laugh out loud.

  "Must I say thank you?"

  "You must not thank me, it's the truth. I do not know why you do not dress like this more often, you would cause a heart attack to more than one.

  I did not know if Tris was flattering me because she was really cute or because she was my best friend and she had to compliment me.

  He had a jean adjusted to such an extent that he could barely breathe and a somewhat transparent black blouse tucked inside his pants. As it was a party in a forest, I took short boots that made me a little taller, but not so much.

  "Are you sure to wear heels?" Tris had stood in front of the mirror of my room, took my perfume and put it on the neck.

  She wore a black dress with little silver glitter, tight at the waist and silver heels that made her legs ten times longer.

  "The glamor is everywhere my dear Kelsey, the forest is not a limit." I rolled my eyes.

  Most likely she would fall into the mud and I would mess up my ass to get her out of there.

  -As you say. Did Jake tell you what time he came for us?

  "No, but he did tell me that we're leaving the party before midnight."

  "That will not happen."

  "Of course not." We both laughed and felt the bell ring.

  We took our things and went down. Jake and Key were waiting for us standing side by side. Tris turned directly to Jake to kiss her lips. I put my hands in the back pockets of my pants and approached Key. God, I was very ashamed of what I said to you this afternoon.

  -You look beautiful.

  Stupid men who do not understand the effect these words have on women.

  -Thank you. You look handsome. "And it was true. Damn it was. He had tight jeans on his red ankles and wore a black shirt rolled up to his elbows. Converse sneakers black and had her hair standing up. All that and his dazzling smile turned him into a boy you would turn to see in the street. He was handsome, and there was no way to contradict him.

  -Come on? I nodded, and he put his arm around my shoulders with one of his muscular arms to lead me to the car.

  Jake was silent. But not as quiet as ever: shy. He was quiet, strange. Silent angry Angry. And from the way he saw Tris, and Tris saw him, I imagined there were problems in paradise.

  "Jake does not want them to go to the party." Honestly it's not a pleasant environment for you. "I turned to see Key whispering to me. He was sitting next to me in the back seat of Jake's car.

  -Why? I whispered again. Waths up? Drugs? Alcohol? Impending Nudes? I do not think anything is too bad to be like this.

 After going round and round the road, we found the way to enter the forest towards the party. Tris was more angry with Jake now, because he accused him of having lengthened the path so we would not get to the party. And of course I thought the same thing.
