Back At School

Nadia's POV

Today is Derrick's first day back at school since being jumped.

Just like I thought he would, he was being friends with Jared and the people on the team.

I went over to him and pulled him to the side.

"Derrick..."

"Hey Nadia" he said.

"Why are you talking to them?" I said.

"Because they're my friends" he said.

"Derrick they are Bullying you"

"No they aren't Nadia" he said.

"Yes they are" I said a little louder.

"... I'm not gonna talk about this right now N." He said. Then he walked away.

I know it's only second period but I got in my car and went home after that. I get he's finally starting to grow a pair but he's getting defensive to the wrong person.
Derrick's POV

In practice, we did whatever we wanted to. It was a free day.

I couldn't do much so I chilled in the locker room.

"Aye Derrick... there's a party after school at 6... you should come" Jared said.

"Nah, I don't know..."

"Come on, it'll be fun."

"You sure?"

"Yeah"

"Okay..." I said smiling.
Nadia's POV
12:49 a.m.

"Hello?" I said still trying to wake up.

It was Derrick. He was drunk. He was asking me to come get him so I did.

When he got in the car he fell asleep so that was good I guess.

I really wasn't in the mood for his shit.

I got us back to my house safely and got him inside without my mom finding out I even left.

I walked him up to my room and got him changed him into some shorts.

"They laughed at me..." he said.

"What?"

"They laughed at me..." he repeated.

I gave him a hug and he was soon asleep.

I got back in my bed and started to go to sleep too but Derrick rolled over and put his arms around me.

"I love you Nadia..."

"I love you too Derrick"

"... be my girlfriend"

He said looking up at me.

".... yeah, I'll be happy to"
