After they heard Aileen's autopsy, Marie and Jones were called to Chief King's office. Once they got there, King asked sternly, "Sergeant, why haven't you handed in your report yet? Should I remind you how important Mrs. Greene's murder is?"

"I'm sorry sir. But a lot of things have come up during this case and I haven't found the time to write it yet," Marie explained while standing up straight.

King then placed a hand on her shoulder and said to her with a wink, "Now Marie, you and I both know you've got what it takes to close this case. Don't let Jones slow you down from it."

Just as Jones was about to protest, King said to him sternly, "Don't deny it David you are! Anyway, Alden Greene wants to speak with you about this case to "make sure" we are doing our best! Now go see him!" And the two officers saluted and they turned and left the office.

As they were getting ready to talk with Alden Greene, Jones said, "King sure is wound up today. We'd better recap on what we know so far Marie."

"All we do know is Aileen was killed by someone who wanted to control her. Someone who's an avid whiskey drinker and who didn't hesitate to kill a woman while her baby was still in the room," Marie explained.

Jones then got a thought in his head and told his partner that there have been complaints about some strange noises coming from a disused garden that's right across from the Greene's home. Marie then agreed that they should go and have a look at it after they speak with Alden Greene since Jones is afraid King will have his hide if they don't. Once they got to Alden's office, he looked up to them from his desk and said, "Ms. Holmes, I'm glad you're on this case. I wouldn't have wanted anyone than the very best to handle this. I hope you don't mind me having a drink, but this sordid affair has me quite shaken up." And he swirled his glass in his hand when he said that.

Marie and Jones both thought that Alden must've been known first before they did. He then explained to them that when his son decided to have a baby with a woman he knew almost nothing about, he hired a private detective. His son then found out that Aileen had been a junkie and she was always getting into trouble with her ex-husband, Tom Hunt. Aileen then got arrested for larceny, got a divorce and then came to Grimsborough to "reinvent" herself; with the help of Paul's money.

Jones then scrunched his eyes and asked, "Well people can change Mr. Greene. Did you let your son know about these discoveries?"

Alden then shook his head and said to the two officers, "No, but I was going to. I discovered that the ex-husband had gotten in contact with her again and I knew nothing good could come off it."

When they thanked Alden for the info, Jones and Marie were just about to turn and leave, when they felt a shock from their collars go into their necks. They turned to look at Alden and he smirked at them told them they better solve Aileen's murder otherwise there will be punishment. After they left the office, Jones said, "Man, I could have done this without Alden sticking his nose in this case. That man has serious control issues."

"I know right. I mean he hired a private detective to spy on his daughter-in-law. What if he couldn't stand the thought that an ex-drug addict had joined his prestigious family?" Marie said while rubbing her neck where the shock happened.

Jones then scrunched his eyes while staring at the road and he thought, and even though he didn't offer us any he was drinking whiskey in that glass just like our killer; now that's suspicious. Jones then sighed and said, "Well, I guess Alden's got a point to. I mean Tom clearly came to Grimsborough to stalk Aileen. Once we're doing checking the garden from the Greene residence, we should check out his little squat, Marie."
