At the station, Jaime Buxton confronted Jones, Marie and Paul and told them that their victim Kerry Ann Buxton was seeing someone else aside from her current lover Tom Norris and her late husband Hank Buxton. After hearing that, Jones exclaimed in shock, "How could we have missed that?!"

Jaime chuckled and said, "Did you really think a floozie like Kerry Ann would be content with just one man? Nope, she needed to have them all! And as I know top cops like you two can't take anything for granted without any hard evidence, I've brought you all the documents I've collected against Kerry Ann. And besides, I need this case to be solved so I can get my family's money; I can't wait to redo my nose job! As for the documents, I guess you're gonna have to sift through all of them cause I just know that all the elements you need lie within them." And soon she plopped a big stack of files onto Marie's desk.

Paul let out a low whistle and said, "That's bigger than my electric bill! You sure you can look through all of them Marie?"

Marie rolled up her sleeves, cracked her knuckles and said, "It sounds like a good cue to show off my skills."

After Jaime left, Jones looked at the huge pile of documents to sift through and Marie also suggested that they should return to the Buxton mansion hoping that something new showed up at the swimming pool. The first thing Marie decided to do was look through the documents Jaime brought about Kerry Ann. After sifting through them for a while, Marie found a love letter among them. Once she looked closely at it, as well as Jones and Paul, they saw that it was mayor who wrote it and it was meant for Kerry Ann.

Marie then smirked and the two men and asked, "You thinking we should ask him about it?"

"You bet," Jones and Paul said in unison.

As soon as they arrived at the mayor's mansion and they confronted him, Marie said, "Mr. Mayor, a witness just came to us with an interesting piece of evidence. Apparently, you had a crush on Kerry Ann Buxton."

Mayor Johnson became shocked by Marie revelation and he started to sweat in embarrassment. He then shushed Marie as well as Paul and Jones and said to the three of them, "Please don't speak too loudly, okay? I'm sorry I lied, but I'm so used to hiding my private life from the media that it just becomes an automatism! At the beginning of my re-election campaign, I started to lose faith in myself but then I met Kerry Ann and she made me feel like anything was possible! I was literally enthralled by her; her beauty and the way she was!"

The mayor stopped his explanation when he saw the look Marie gave him and he chuckled sheepishly while rubbing the back of his neck and said, "But don't get me wrong Marie cause I never even had an affair with her! I'm no fool either cause she would never go for an old man like me despite the little reshaping I had done recently to my face. I can't even bear to think of Kerry Ann being dead while keeping up with the appearances for my re-election campaign! I even started taking antidepressants because of that! So Marie my dear, I'm counting on you to find Kerry Ann's killer along with your friends too!"

Marie nodded in determination and said, "You can count on me Mr. Mayor!"

After they were done talking to Mayor Johnson, Jones, Paul and Marie were heading to the Buxton mansion when Jones said, "The mayor seemed to be pretty affected by Kerry Ann's death. I guess him taking antidepressants is not that usual. And I never even noticed that he got a face makeover! With that being said, we can't ignore the fact that he's now a potential suspect more than ever!"

"Well we obviously can't talk openly about the mayor's infatuation with Kerry Ann, but maybe we should talk to Tom Norris and find out if knew about it," Marie said and soon they drove to Tom Norris' residence before stopping at the Buxton mansion.
