Chapter 2 Sleepovers

A troupers: Richelle, Skylar, Amy, Cassie, Piper, North, Noah, Liam, Mason, Jake, Olivia, Sophia.

B troupers: Addy, Matt, Ben, Carter, Evelyn

Riley's POV

I am in my office waiting for Emily to call me and tell me how Ellie is doing. "Hey, We are going to do the try outs for the male/female solos right now." James said. "Ok I will be right out."
"Alright gather around dancers, Today is the auditions for the male and female solo spots at Internationals." I explained to A Troupe. "Alright, Raise your hand who wants try out. James told the dancers. 3 boys and 4 girls raised their hands. "You have an hour to prepare your solos and have fun with it." He told them. They ran out of Studio A to go rehearse.

I went back to my office because I heard my phone ring. "Hey Em! How is Ellie?" I asked. "She broke her arm but will only have a cast on for 2 months." Emily said. "I am sorry, tell Ellie that Auntie Ri hopes she gets better soon." "Ok I will tell her, Love you." "Love you too." I say before hanging up.

The dancers had rehearsed and were ready for the auditions.
Noah was first to go and did a amazing contemporary dance. Then it was North. North was West's cousin and had a very similar style to West.
After North it was Jake. Jake had a style like Eldons but not quite as flawless. For the girls, it went Piper, Richelle, Cassie and Amy.

"That was Fantastic!" I told the girls.  "We will be back shortly with our decision." James said.

Him and I went into my office. "I think it should be Noah. He's won Mr. National soloist this year and has been to International before so it makes sense." James stated. "Good point, but if we want to win we should pick Jake. He has a style like Eldons and he's brand new to the team. The judges have seen Noah but they haven't seen Jake." I commented. "Alright, I guess we have our male soloist, now for the female." Richelle is a extremely strong dancer and knows what it take to win. Her routine's are always flawless." I told James. "Piper has gotten better over the years but she's missing something." James said. I don't like to talk about my sister-in-law like that, but James is right. "Amy and Cassie haven't done a solo yet and I don't think Internationals is the place to start." James stated. "I agree, "Well I guess we have our soloists." I stated quietly.

James' POV

"Alright dancers! For our male soloist we have chosen Jake! Noah, you will be Jake's understudy." I say to the team. "And our Female soloist will be Richelle, and Piper you are her understudy!!" Riley exclaimed. All the girls give Richelle hugs, but Piper looks sad. "Congrats you guys and that's all for today, See you tomorrow." I said.

30 minutes later.

"James? Can I talk to you?" Piper said when all of the dancers have gone home and it is just Riley and I. "Yea Pipes?" "Why didn't I get the solo spot?" She said sadly. "Well you are Richelle's understudy." I said trying to build her confidence up. "Yea whatever. See you later James." "Wait, How about you come home with Riley and me tonight and you girls can have a sleep over and do your nails or whatever." I suggested and her face lit up. "Yes! I would love too!" She says excitedly. "Ok, Go get your stuff."

"Hey Riley? Aren't you coming?" I ask. "Umm I want to stay an extra hour to get some of more work done but you and Piper can have sibling time for a little bit." She said. "Ok, just don't over do it." I tell her, kissed her forehead and then left the studio with Piper.

"Where's Riley?" She asked. "She wanted to stay for an hour to get some work done." I told her. "Oh, She sure likes to work." I chuckled at her comment. "James?" She asked again. "Yea Pipes?" "Well..umm When do you think I get a little niece or nephew?"
