The Next Step: Jiley later on

Chapter 25 Happy Birthday

James POV

Today is my birthday and I don't think Riley and I have any plans except working. I am kinda sad that we aren't celebrating or going to my mums house but I am a adult so I shouldn't care but for some reason I think today will be extra special and I don't know why.

Riley woke me up with a cup of hot coffee just the way I like it. Then we stoped at a little breakfast Café and ate our breakfast there.

I park the car in the studio parking lot and while walking up to the 2nd floor where the studio is located I ran into Luke. He wished me a happy birthday and said to meet up with him at lunch.

I open the green doors to see all of A-Troupe. "Happy Birthday!" They shout and all of them run up and give me hugs. "Thanks guys, but this wasn't necessary." I say. "Yes it was, in fact you only turn how ever old you are once!" North tells us in a matter of fact kinda way. "Yea, how old are you?" Jake asks curiously. I laugh. "You don't want to know." I say putting my arm around Riley's waist.

I was enjoying the party a lot until Riley said it was time to get back to work. The dancers didn't look to happy because they also were enjoying the party.

The dancers worked on their tumbling moves all morning. When lunch came I texted Luke that I was waiting for him at the Juice bar. I waited about 5 minutes before he showed up. "Hey Man!" He says cheerfully. "Yo" I say doing a bro handshake. "Here is your present. No peeking because I will be right back." He said eyeing me while walking away. Sure, I was tempted to look at the gift because I still had an inner child that's for sure.

Luke came back with a cup of soup, (no surprise there) A grilled cheese for me, and two juices. "Did you peek James?" He asks me. I let out a little laugh and hold up my hands. "No, I promise" "Good" he says smirking. We eat lunch and It kills me not knowing what's in that bag stuffed with tissue paper.

A little while after lunch Luke slides the bag in front of me and tells me to open it. I casually stared to take out the tissue paper and act cool but inside I am dying to know. I pull out a picture frame and it's holding a picture of our band Lost&Found. "Thanks man, this means a lot to me." I say. "Yea no problem." He says. "Well I should get back to rehearsals." I say standing up. "Bye James" Luke says as I'm leaving.

I walk into Riley's office and see her typing away on her laptop. "Hey Ri. Look at this." I say showing her the picture frame that Luke just gave me. "I remember that picture." She says smiling. "That was a long time ago." She adds. "Yea it was."  I agreed.

We went home early that day from the studio to just have some quality time together. After a long time of cuddling and intimate time together I got hungry. I asked Riley if she wanted to go to the shawarma place but she declined my offer so I went alone. 

When I did come home I heard music playing from my bedroom. I enter my bedroom and see Riley applying makeup and wearing a winter dress with a scarf. "Hey, why are you dressed up?" I ask curious. "I thought we could go on a little date tonight." She answers. "Oh well I did already eat." I tell her. "Well I didn't want to go eat, maybe a walk or something romantic." She says. "How about a picnic in the park?" I suggest. "Sure I will pack the basket and you can get ready." She says kissing me.

Riley's POV

James and I found a spot to lay the blanket and I sat down and crossed my legs while James just plopped down.
"So, Was there a reason you wanted to come here instead of just staying inside where it's warm?" He asks. "Umm no no, I just wanted to do something fun rather then sitting inside. I say snuggling up to him. "Oh ok."

James and I were watching the sunset and I think it is the perfect time to tell him. "Babe?" "Mhm?" "I have something for you." I say and hand him a card.

James' POV

I open Riley's card and there was a baby ultrasound picture with Riley's handwriting that said Can't wait to meet you daddy.

I looked up and both of us have tears in our eyes. "Your pregnant?" I ask in disbelief. She nods and I pick her up and swing her around. She hugs me while her arms are wrapped around my neck and I kiss her passionately. "This is the best birthday gift ever!" I exclaim. She smiles and I kiss her again.

"Wait, Does anyone else know?" I ask. "Just Emily, she was the one who told me to take the test." "When's the due date?" I ask. "June 16th" she says with a worried look. "What's the matter?" I ask. "Well Regionals is June 25th." She says. I laugh. "Ri, that doesn't matter." I say hugging her. "Why doesn't it?" She asks. "Because it doesn't affect anything Ri." I reassure her.

The next day we decide to call our friends and families. We call Riley's family first and Riley's Mum couldn't be happier and same with her dad. My mum was crying the whole entire phone call and Piper screamed when we told her. All that was left was to tell our closest friends and A-Troupe. I let Riley call Michelle and the other girls while I called Luke, Eldon and West. They all congratulate us and tell us how excited or happy they are. Riley's doctors appointed is next week, the day after the Raw Motion Convention and Emily will also find out her baby's gender.

Hi! I hope you all had a great Holiday and I am so so sorry this is a short chapter. I rewrote this with 3 different endings and I finally settled on this ending. Sorry it's a really awful chapter.
