Chapter 23 Trouble With The In-Laws

Riley's POV

'Sleeping bags, pillows, blankets, movies, candy and popcorn.' I mentally check off in my head.

All of the A-Troupe girls are coming over for a sleepover tonight. We also had a good-bye party for the dancers that won't be coming back next year.

"Riley! I'm leaving!" James yells. I kicked James out of the house tonight because of the sleepover. So I guess he's going to Eldon's. "Ok, love you." I say giving him a kiss. "Be good." He says teasing. I roll my eyes. "Piper should be here soon." I tell him. "Alright I'm leaving." He says and walks out the front door. "Oh nail polish!" I say excitedly and head up to my room to get the box I keep my nail polish in.

I was putting some drinks out on the kitchen island when Piper came in. "Hi Riley!" She greets me excitedly and hugs me. "Where should I put my stuff?" She asks. "Leave it in your bedroom but we are sleeping in the living room." I reply.
"Ok" she says and heads to her room.

I hear the doorbell ring and answer the door. "Hi Riley!" Richelle says stepping in. "Hi Richelle." I greet her. "Piper will show you where to put you stuff." "Ok, your house is huge. Of course it isn't as big as mine but it's still huge." Richelle exclaims. I just smile and get the door again.

Piper's POV

After about an hour everyone had arrived except Olivia. She's been acting strange and not showing up to dance so I'm not really surprised she's not here.

Right now I'm painting my nails with Sophia and Addy. "I love this color on you!" Sophia compliments. "Thanks Soph." I reply.

Riley comes over and sits by me. "I love your nails! I love all of your nails girls." Riley says. "Thanks!" We say together. "Do you want us to paint your nails?" Addy asks. "I had mine done this week with Michelle at a salon." She says holding up her nails.

"How is Michelle?" I ask. "She's good. She sent me a picture of the ultra sound yesterday." Riley says.

She pulls out her phone and scrolls through her texts. "Here" she says showing us the picture. "Aw she's so tiny." Addy says. "Yea so small." I say. Riley smiles and puts her phone in her back pocket.

"Where's James? I haven't seen him." Cassie asks. "He's at Eldon's because I wouldn't let him stay." Riley tells her.
"Oh ok" Cassie says.

Riley's POV

It's almost 2am and I'm trying to get the girls in bed but they keep talking. "Shhh" I say to Richelle and Addy. Around 3am all of the girls finally fell asleep and I went to sleep as well.

I wake up to find that the rest of them are still sound asleep. Probably because they stayed up till 2am.

I open the fridge and start making waffles from scratch. One by one each of the girls wake up and come over and eat.

After breakfast they played some card games and charades.  James came home earlier then I expected. "Hey girls." He says and walks up to me. "I missed you last night." He whispers in my ear rubbing my sides. I ignore his comment but before I could say something else to change the subject, The girls called him over to play pool with them. I am pretty sure they don't even know how to play. I laugh at their enthusiasm and push James over to them. He clearly didn't want to go play pool with a bunch of teenage girls because he gave me a look that says Do I have too? I nod my head laughing and he slowly walks over to them.
