ouch

his practice was suppose to end twenty minutes ago.

he said he would be there ten minutes ago.

she sighed.

was he a jerk like most of them?

maybe...

she grabbed her books, luckily she got a head on the assignment while waiting. more than she was supposed to, but she didn't care.

she walked out of the library, making sure to pass by the gym.

~

he felt terrible for making her wait.

the coach held his team later, telling them they needed to practice more before the season opener.

the ball was going to be thrown, when samuel hit the ball out of his scrimmaging teammate's hands.

the ball flew out of bounds and-

smack.

a small squeal was cut off, and a crashing noise sounded by the doors.

~

"yo! sam! what did you do?!"

~

he ran over and saw his project partner.

guilt stabbed him in the chest.

"sorry!" he repeated over and over again.

~

she put on her glasses, her sight focussing on him, kneeling beside her.

"hey! practice isn't over, you guys get back on the court. sam, take the girl to the infirmary."

he nodded and helped her up.

~

"feeling okay?" she nodded.

~

he walked her to infirmary, doing most of the work when walking.

as they made it to the infirmary, they opened the door and sighed.

~

it was empty.

he would have to be her nurse for the day.

classic cliché.
