meeting the parents

it had months into their relationship and they couldn't be happier.

they were both personally doing extremely well.

samuel was a top prospect on the basketball team and his grades had been pulled up.

(y/n) was less stressed and her self esteem was high thanks to samuel. she even was being considered for a scholarship at one of her top schools.

~

life was good.

they had an amazing one year anniversary.

and all that was left was to meet the parents.

since both their parents had busy jobs - as most students who attended their school did - they never could meet.

~

their parents were meeting tonight.

at dinner, at a nice restaurant.

samuel dressed nicely to place a good impression with his girlfriend's parents.

her voice rang in his head.

"don't worry! my dad might kill you but i mean... wait, that's not comforting. i promise he won't kill you."

he chuckled at the memory and straightened out his white polo shirt.

"i can't wait to meet your girlfriend!" his mother said happily as they sat down at their reserved table.

"she's pretty amazing if she can raise your grades like this." his father chuckled.

"trust me. she is, you'll love her... almost as much as i do." samuel smiled.

"he's nice! i promise. he walked me home every day! even after basketball practice."

"surprising you went for a jock."

"oh, (f/n). you were a jock!" your mother said to your father with a laugh.

"trust me, he's treats me well. you guys will love him." (y/n) informed them.

"ah there she is!"

"oh, samuel!"

(y/n) waved happily and hugged her boyfriend to greet him.

"mom, dad this is (y/n)-"

the teens exchanged confused glances, hearing the angered tone of their parents' voices.

"samuel, you didn't tell us she was a (l/n)." samuel's father commented while glaring at his girlfriend and her parents.
