Hi my lovelies - sorry it's taken me so long. I've been really down about the US elections and frankly quite in shock. I'm having a hard time accepting the results and as a result have been obsessed with reading and watching the news. I made myself work on this chapter to take my mind off the fact that horrible man is our president elect.
I have not edited the chapter so hopefully it reads right and hopefully, it's light and enjoyable. Notice I made no mention of politics in the chapter. Although this does give me some ideas that perhaps I should write my next novel that mixes romance and politics together.
Hope everyone is doing well and as usual if you like the chapter please vote and please give me your feedback. I'm always looking to improve. Thanks! G.D.

Arjun
I heard the constant knocking on the door and I ran to the door knowing it could only be one person who would be that obnoxious.
I quickly opened the door ready to yell at Anjali but before I could say anything she dropped her backpack and threw herself on me wrapping her legs and arms around me, "I missed you! How are you feeling?"
The sarcasm that was just flowing through my veins seconds ago disappeared. "I missed you too. You could have come and visited me you know I'm not contagious," I said hugging her back.
Anjali slid down off of me and looked at me and she took a swallow and her eyes looked tired and sad.
"I know I could have. I purposely stayed away from you so I could get used to you being so far away from me. This has been the hardest week of my life."
"You're telling me! I couldn't agree with you more," Alex said as he whizzed by getting his stuff ready. "You could have taken me into consideration and come over and given me a little bit of relief from a whole week with this bozo. At least you know how to handle him." Then he threw a kitchen towel at Arjun.
"Princess over here isn't finished packing yet!"
Anjali turned back to face me and gave me that look of disapproval and quirked her eyebrow but didn't say a word.
I slowly moved backwards.
"Is Alex right?" she finally asked.
"I just need five minutes," I said moving backwards as fast as I could back to the bedroom to gather my things.
"Oh fuck, Arjun your five minutes means you haven't done shit! How much stuff did you need to unpack from the trip. We were only here for a week! The rest of your stuff is being mailed to your place in Boston which I'm sure you did not pack and you left for your mom to pack!" she said sternly and walked quickly behind me following me to the bedroom. "Really how hard was it to just do your laundry and repack everything!"
"I was sick!" I defended myself.
"For a whole week!" she shouted back.
"Are you two sure you didn't elope while you were in Africa?" Alex piped in behind Anjali.
"Stay out of it!" Anjali and I both said at the same time.
Alex put up his hands up and walked backwards, "When you two lovebirds are done saying hello and telling each other how much you missed each other, I'll be ready and waiting in the living room."
