I woke up in the late afternoon not wanting to lounge around all day. I steadily got up holding on to objects trying to help keep my balance. It was a challenge making my way into the kitchen , but I succeeded. As I took a seat on the bar stool I saw a note on the counter addressed to me. I reached over and opened it .

Hey Jen

I don't know if you will see this , because you might be asleep.
But I got a call from Francis telling me that Gary needs me to film one of the scenes today , so I will be back later I'm hoping around 5.00pm.

Sorry if you not feeling so good , I wish I could be there with you .

"Josh is too cute " I laugh to myself


Him reminding me about my medicine
I walk over to the kitchen table and take my dose of medication as indicated, washing it down with a glass of juice.

I carefully make my way back to the bedroom to see that Josh had put my suitcases by the wardrobe, which was nice of him.

I sit back down on the bed scrolling through my notifications on my phone. I was looking though my missed calls and texts.

I must be really popular after been assaulted


I sent Mom a text letting her know I'm doing okay and that Josh is taking great care of me. Informing the family not to worry .


Curiosity got the best of me , I really wanted to know what Nick wanted
So I decided to call him


I was waiting for quite a while before I was sent though to voicemail.


"Hi Nick, it's Jen .
I was wondering if you wanted to catch up sometime maybe! I uh, saw that you called but I didn't get ahold of you , so Just call me back sometime or text me whenever ."

*sent*


After Nick decided he didn't want to be with me any more,our relationship as just been friends has still been quite bumpy. I feel as though I can't trust him like I used to . Sometimes I find him quite an awkward person to be around , But it's not like we can just ignore one another , we did date for a year or two.

It was around 7 ish, I was feeling quite hungry. Even though Josh told me to help myself to anything I wanted, I do feel slightly rude if I were to eat someone else's food.


Still sitting on the bed, I didn't feel like Lounging around feeling sorry for myself, I honestly need to get some fresh air , I feel as though I've been in prisoned for far to long . Even though my head was really killing me

I remembered that there was a nice diner , just a few blocks away , I could possibly grab something there I suppose.
Because I was going out to get food I needed to change into something functional where I can still walk round in it. My body didn't take the impact of what happened last night very well.

I pop on a pair of black Lycra sports pants with an oversized t-shirt , then just slipping on some flip flops ,I walked my way into the bathroom, where With not much effort I quickly chuck my hair up in a messy bun.


I grab some cash , putting it in my pocket , before I leave deciding not to take my phone, thinking that I shouldn't take to long .


I lock up Joshes hotel room door . I start making my way down into the lobby , thank god not bumping into any of my co-workers . Otherwise they would give me a god dam lecture , why I'm wondering around , instead of resting .


The cool air hits my cheeks as I start making my way down the street.
A few photographers snap a few photos of me along the way . One of them asks why i am slightly limping.

"I uh, fell today" that's all they needed to know. What really happened is my business not theirs .


I'm out of breath after a few minutes, I was warned to do minimal exercise while I'm recovering. I managed to make it to the diner without collapsing .
Entering i make my way up to the counter , asking the lady if I am able to reserve a table for myself.


"Sure mam, just come right this way" she kindly instructs for me to follow her .

she takes me around the corner and shows me where I will be seating

"Take a seat, I will be back with you shortly "

"Thank you " I tell her.


I make myself comfortable, resting my head agents back agents the booth wall.
To be honest , I'm sure josh is going to be pissed when he finds out I came all the way down here to eat , when I was totally capable of grabbing something out of his fridge. But why would he care anyway if I were going out .?


The lady shortly comes back interrupting my thoughts

"Here is your menu love"

"Wonderful , thanks " I say starting to look through my options

My taste buds start craving the look of the steak burger with hot potato frys

Jennifer's Pov

I had no idea what time was, when I left the diner . Maybe I did take longer than I thought I would. It had gotten pretty dark since the time left. The Street lights were all ready glowing.


I walk through a small park on the way back , taking my time admiring the beautiful scenery . My breath releases like white smoke as I empty my lungs. My breathing had increased heavily causing me to stop and lean agents the bench seat.


I close my eyes for a little while , trying to bear with the throbbing pain in my head.
I encourage myself to keep going , I'm almost back at the hotel.

I walk down the hall way nearing Joshes hotel room.
I place my key in the door , to find that it was already been unlocked .
As I enter , I close the door behind me .

" Jen is that you " josh calls hoping off the couch

He walks over to me , by the looks on his face , he doesn't seem to impressed by my presence
"Where the heck have you been" he worries wrapping me in a hug " I thought something bad happened to you"


"I'm fine josh , really. I just headed out for something to eat that's all"


"You could of call me , or some how contacted me"


"Josh , I was fine , I don't need you chasing me up all the time , I'm capable of doing things on my own" I tell him sternly


"Well what do you expect me to say Jen , you were fucken assaulted last night and you expect me to act chill. Of corse I'm not going to be " he yells


"Well it doesn't matter Josh , the police have already got him in custody . No one. Will be out to hurt me anyway "


"Look , Jen , I'm really sorry if I'm acting way to over protective . I just can't let anything happen to you again " he says kissing my cheek softly .


"Common then , let's get ready for bed " you should be resting anyway"
