After she finished talking to Kayliah she felt much better but was still not ready to face her mother again. She had however promised Kayliah that she would have a civil discussion with her mother about the situation and not let anger or resentment cloud her judgment. She hadn't promised a timefram though so instead she grabbed her phone, put on her yoga playlist and started to workout.

Yoga had always been one of the few things able to calm her and help her focus. Starting with stretches to loosen her muscles she did the Sukhasana, the most known yoga pose, crossing her legs and placing her hands on her knees. Focusing on her breathing and posture she exhaled until she felt the familiar calm cloaking her like a warm blanket on a winter night.
Switching positions she adapted the  Pigeon Pose - Eka Pada Rajakapotasana.

She began by pulling her right leg forward and propping herself up with her yoga pillow, a gift from her ex-boyfriend in a rich burgandy that she had not had the heart to part with when they broke up. She felt languid and the most relaxed she'd felt since the argument.  Stretching so she came into a forward fold, letting the weight of her torso rest on her front leg was the next step as she stretched her hands to flat her palms flat on the floor. Whoever invented yoga deserved a Nobel Peace Prize she thought as she shifted to her other leg and had the music playing softly from her phone transport her to a tranquil destination of her choice.

She chose a river, water running over her smooth curves the current carrying her along as she became one with the water. She lost track of time while she floated and it was her mother's voice screaming from the living room that she come to her immediately that brought her from her hypnotic stupor. Well she was no longer a child and her mother would have to wait while she warmed down from her exercise. Grabbing her phone she realized it had stopped playing music and was cold from a dead battery. She looked at the Dora the explorer clock above her window and was surprised to find it was after 5 in the afternoon. She had been exercising for almost 2 hours. Rolling up her yoga mat and tucking her cushion inside it she stretched one last time and thought Now or never as she exited her bedroom heading towards the dining room.
