Kayliah was waiting for her at lunch when she left her Matrix Algebra class the following Monday. It felt like a year since they had last seen each other and the grin she flashed made her heart gallop and her panties damp. Throwing her arms around her for a hug she melted when she got a kiss as well. Her surroundings blurred until it was just the two of them, cocooned in a world of bliss and sensation. She let her mind drift and pressed her midsection closer to Kayliah's to deepen the kiss. It wasn't until a whistle sounded and she heard the snap of a camera going off that she stepped back and looked around her. They had been encircled by a group of curious onlookers who for the most part had their cameras out and was videoing the exchange. It was the thing that annoyed her most about her generation. No one minded their own business anymore when the opportunity presented itself to get a few likes and retweets on social media.
Grabbing her hand, Kayliah turned her in the other direction intent on getting her out of the spotlight but she turned straight into her best friend who looked like her world had crashed in on her. Shit! This is going to be a difficult one to explain she thought as she moved towards Shanique. When she got in front of her and was ready to begin her 5000 words essay on why she was sorry for not telling her earlier Shanique turned abruptly and stalked away without a word but her facial expression said it all. The disappointment and betrayal blended well with a hint of jealousy like the ingredient X that made the Powerpuff girls so much more. Chanel knew she had ruined it this time. Really ruined it.
