~ Individuality ~
Someone once asked me "Whats your definition of beauty?"
and for a moment I was silent. This person took my silence as
me having nothing to say, as people so often do, but actually
I was silent because I had so much to say that I didn't know
where to start.
You see I don't see people the same way you may do,
I see them as more of an art. A temple that they should
decorate as they grow, even if this is just with scars
and pimples to start.
When I define beauty I start with the heart,
forget the outside, that was God's decisions it
reflects nothing on you. I like to see what sets each
individual apart.
When I define beauty the second thing I find
is the mind. What you think, how often you blink
whether you take the effort to truly learn about
yourself and others and whether you truly care for
your brothers.
When I define beauty I next hear your voice. How
you address others and how you justify your choice.
Do you speak freely or are you a little more reserved?
My dear you need to let them hear your words.
So after a short pause of nothing but silence she turns
to me once more and asks those simple words. "How
do you define beauty?" and in that moment I knew exactly
what to reply.
Beauty, my love, is in the way they designed their shell,
its in the tattoos they have upon their heart. Its the new
stems they've created in their brain and all the different voices
they've learnt to contain. Its everything that everyone else is
not. Its everything that sets them apart.
How do you define beauty?
