Fourteen: Stuck

Ethan's POV:

It was two weeks ago when Christian flew away to Canada. Marami siyang inihabilin sa akin pero hindi gamit, mga binitiwang salita patungkol kay Riri. My brother was so inlove to him. He said he was like his wonderwall and his drug. I was dying to feel that way to somebody. I know she was there somewhere else in this place.

Flasback

"bro, I will surely miss you."

" I know it's hard to see you away from me but it's your dream man. Masaya ako sa desisyon mo. Atleast you don't have to see him and stop hurting yourself."

"yeah. About him. Please take care of him. Napakafragile niya. So vulnerable  baka ano na namang gagawin niyan kapag he became desperate. His sister was pregnant dude that's why she never gave him support. I did background check so I know. He was disown by his family for being gay. I was angry when I figured this out. Mga walang kwentang tao."

I was stunned hearing these about him. My empathy towards Riri grows more.

"dude, I don't know what to say."

"I know what you feel. Hindi niya alam na nagbackground check ako. Magagalit yun. So don't tell"

"I promise"

"please give him your support. For me okay? I will send him money every month just keep an eye on him"

"your madly inlove with him huh"

"and one thing too, don't hit on him."

"hey, I'm straight man! Don't say that sh*t!"

Tumawa kami. Nag inuman kami sa bahay ko . It's more like bro bonding.

End of flashback

Since it's his last semester I decided to free his tuition in school and let the accounting office know. Also Christian was replaced by an old teacher. I can see Riri was not doing well kasi napapansin ko na parati siyang nagmumukmok at parating pagod. His friends were always asking him kung anong problema niya pero he always tells them lies. I know he missed Christian. Riri was staying at Christian's  condo since nag iinsist na doon na siya ipatira. Riri declined pero wala siyang magawa. Hindi na siya nagtrabaho doon sa bar at nagconcentrate na sa pag aaral niya. We bond sometimes together with his gang. Minsan nga napagkamalan pa kaming magkasintahan but I told them I was straight. They already knew after a week about Christian and Riri. So they were somewhat pissed at him. Panay explain niya sa mga kaklase niya especially these girls named Marj and Caryll. They were really angry at him pero tinulungan ko siyang mag explain why he did not tell them about it. They also knew that I owned the school and they went berserk.

My phone rings and saw riri's name on the screen.

"hey bud, why you call?"

"ah .eh. ano, nastuck kasi ako dito sa waiting shed malapit sa grocery store. Ang lakas ng ulan... Pwede bang.."

" wait for me there, where is your exact location?"

"here in Rancho"

"bakit ang layo ng binilhan mo? At gabi na ah!. You should stay at your place this moment"

I was dressing myself since I was lying in bed half naked and it's past 11. I was kinda pissed off at him. Napakafragile nga.

"Wala na kasing store malapit sa condo, gusto ko kasing kumain ng icecream. "

"seriously!? Anyway just stay there. Don't hang up the phone until I get you there"

Uhg. This boy was insane. It will be the death of me being his guard.
