Chapter 8: History
Caleigh
We were late.
Extremely late.
Did any of us care?
Surprisingly for Mia and I we didn't at all. Honestly, we had spent a day with the Monroe twins and they'd turned us rogue. We were trying to get past the Principals office without being seen, however we were very unsuccessful.
"Miss Evans, Miss Jones, and Mr Jace and Luke Monroe, my office, Now!" Yelled Principal Eagles upon our arrival at the dismal hell of school.
We followed him through to his office that was filled with filing cabinets and papers scattered everywhere. In the centre of the cramped room was Principal Eagles' chair and desk.
"What a pleasure it is to see you again, Sir!" Jace said as he leaned against the wall arm folded across his chest.
Principal Eagles sighed, "Well Mr Monroe, I wish I could say the same, not off to a good start are we?"
"And what would you mean by that, Sir?" Asked Luke cockily.
Principal Eagles began turning red in the face and the vein in his neck was becoming more visible by the second.
"I mean Mr Monroe that neither of you turned up to school on the first day!" He yelled slamming his fist down on the desk.
"Ohhhhhhh" said Luke as if everything suddenly made sense to him now.
"Now that," Jace said as he walked to stand next to his brother and placed an arm across his shoulder "We can explain!" He finished.
Principal Eagles waved his hand in the air, as if to brush off the twins explanation.
Principal Eagles rubbed his temples "Just go the the front desk and pick up your books and schedules."
We all looked at each other and shared a look of victory.
"Just don't let it happen again, any of you. Detention at lunch." Principal Eagles shouted after us.
And with that we turned and exited the room.
Outside in the corridor we all burst out laughing.
"That was hilarious!" Luke chuckled.
I placed a hand on his arm, I could of sworn I heard his breath hitch and a slight blush appear on his cheeks. Now is not the time to be seeing things Caleigh, not that it would be the first.
"Oh my god his face!" I laughed.
We walked down to Mia and I's lockers and placed what we didn't need in there. The boys lockers are on the other side of the school.
"We all have History together," Mia announced causing Luke and Jace groan.
Mia glared at them "I don't know what you have against history! I love it!"
Luke wrapped an arm around Mia and said dramatically "Because it's boring"
Mia rolled her eyes and shrugged Luke off walking towards me and linking her arm through mine.
"See you at lunch boys!" I called over my shoulder as Mia and I walked down to Advanced Languages just as the bell for first period rang.
Mia and I said in our first year at Whitby Moor Academy that we would take Advanced Languages so that we could do performances all over the world. We know literally every language fluently. However, somehow even though we had never studied it before, it was like both of us had always known; Greek, Latin, and Hebrew. So naturally, our teacher Madame Burton, loved us.
