Chapter 2: Max and Ermas

After Ross told his family about the cruise, he started to pack his things.

He's usually not prepared but he probably will forget to pack after a fun day with Laura!

The cruise is for 3 weeks, so he packed 3 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shorts, and 7 shirts and some other stuff. Ross also packed his converse.

After packing, he sat down on his bed. Suddenly, his stomach growled!

Forgot to eat lunch! He thought.

Ross grabbed his phone and his wallet and went downstairs.

"Hey I'm going out for lunch if anyone wants to come!" Ross shouted.

"I'm coming!" Rydel called.

He heard footsteps going upstairs. Probably Rydel getting her shoes.

"Rocky and I are coming" Riker said as he came toward him.

Ross nodded. Rydel came downstairs and greeted Riker, Rocky, and Ross.

"Want me to text Ratliff?" she asked the boys.

"Sure" Riker said.

Pretty soon, Ross, Riker, Rocky, Rydel, and Ratliff were driving to Max and Ermas.

"Excited for the cruise?" Rydel asked them. She was sitting between Ross and Ratliff.

"Yeah! Vanessa is coming Riker!" Ross teased him.

"So?" he said, eyes on the road.

"Don't play dumb! We all know that you like Vanessa!" Rocky joined in.

"Whatever" Riker said, rolling his eyes.

Rydel and Ratliff were laughing at him.

"Hey! You guys shouldn't be laughing! It's obvious that you like each other!" Riker called them out.

Ratliff and Rydel stopped laughing.

"What? We don't like each other! We are like brother and sister!" Rydel said.

Ratliff's smile dropped a little bit and looked down. Rydel hit him with her hand.

Ross just rolled his eyes and looked out the window, thinking of what to do with Laura tomorrow. The car was silent and he liked it like that. He could think properly. Ross smiled to himself.

"Alright! We're here!" Riker said, breaking the silence.

"Let's eat!" Rydel laughed.

They all got out of the car and they got seated.

"Buzz buzz" Rydel's phone rang.

It was a text from Ratliff. Confused she looked at the text. Why couldn't he talk to her here! She was sitting right next to him!

Ratliff: wanna do something later?

Rydel: sure! Like what😊

Ratliff: uh idk like go see a movie😉

Rydel: what movie?

Ratliff: idk we could go to the movie theater and see what's out

Rydel: okay😋 sounds like fun! How about at 7?

Ratliff: ok :)

"Hey! Why are you guys texting? Your family is right in front of you!" Rocky said, breaking Rydel's and Ratliff's conversation.

Their heads both shot up.

"Nothing!" Rydel said, startled.

Rocky, Ross, and Riker just smiled and shook their heads, knowing that Ratliff and Rydel are up to something.
