Laura woke up around 9:30. She sat there for a little bit until she remembered! The surprise date with Ross!
Laura jumped out of bed and ran into the kitchen.
"Vanessa! Are you up?" she called.
No answer. She walked towards the kitchen table and she found a box of cereal with a note beside it. The note read:
Dear Laura,
I went out to get some groceries. Here's some cereal. We have a little bit of milk left and there is a little carton of juice in the fridge. I'm stocking up on food right now :)

Laura smiled at the note. Vanessa is so kind! She got the juice and milk out and ate her breakfast. Laura ate in silence when suddenly her text tone rang. She jumped at the noise and looked at her phone.
-texting-
Ross: good morning beautiful ☀️
Laura: why hello to you too!💕
Ross: your cute. Excited today?
Laura: defiantly. What time should I come over?
Ross: noon is fine😊
Laura: kay🌻 ok I should go get ready and start packing! Love you bby💋
Ross: love you too❤️
-end of conversation-
Laura finished up her cereal and headed to her room. Suddenly, she heard the door open.
"Laura! It's me!" her sister called.
"Kay! I'm going to get ready for the day" she called back.
Laura walked in her room and opened the door of her own bathroom. She got in the shower and washed up quickly.
After her shower, she got changed for the surprise date. Laura curled her hair and put on her makeup.
Soon, it was 11:00. Laura looked in her mirror and fixed up her dress.
"Perfect" she smiled to herself.
Then, she got a suitcase from her closet shelf and placed it on her bed.
Laura opened her closet door and looked at her clothes.
She grabbed a couple dresses, some shirts, a few pairs of pants, and a couple pairs of shorts. She packed them neatly into her suitcase and checked the time. It was 11:45!
"Jeez! Time flys by fast!" Laura said to herself.
She grabbed her purse, took one last glance in the mirror and ran out of her room.
"Vanessa! I'm leaving! See you soon!" Laura called, walking out of the door.
"Bye! Have fun!" Vanessa called from the kitchen.
Laura decided to walk to Ross's house because it wasn't that far.
Today will be perfect, she thought.

About 10 minutes after Laura left, the phone rang at the Marano's house. Vanessa ran to pick it up.
"Hello?" she asked into the phone.
"Hey it's Riker" he said.
That's weird. Why would Riker be calling me on my house phone? Oh whatever. HE IS CALLING ME! Vanessa thought.
"Vanessa?" Riker said, pulling her out of her thoughts.
"Oh sorry. Yes?" she said.
"I-I was wondering if you w-would like to h-hang out today?" Riker stuttered.
"I would love to! I have nobody at my house. Would you like to come here?" Vanessa excitedly asked.
"Yeah that would be cool" Riker told her.
"Okay see you soon" Vanessa said.
"Bye"
"YES!" Vanessa jumped after they hung up.
Today will be perfect, she thought.
