Ch 19: Forever Happy

Rydel and Ratliff strolled around the beach, looking for some water to drink. They held hands and kicked some rocks as they walked. They both walked in silence for a bit.

"Do you think Ross and Laura will make up?" Rydel asked Ratliff, breaking the silence. Ratliff sighed, but nodded.

"I think so. I talked some sense into Laura. Riker was smart for teaming them up," he stated. Rydel smiled and looked down. She spoke up again.

"So, when are we going to tell everyone about us?" she questioned. Ratliff shrugged.

"I dunno. Maybe it's better if we keep it a secret," he simply said. Rydel sighed an unhappy sigh. She wanted to tell everyone about her and Ratliff.

"What's wrong?" Ratliff asked kindly. Rydel stopped let go of Ratliff's hand and ran hers through her hair.

"It's just that I want everyone to know. But you obviously don't want to tell because you're too humiliated too!" Rydel shouted. She didn't mean to escalate that quickly, but she had to get her point across. Boys can be difficult. Rydel started to walk away but Ratliff stopped her by grabbing her arm.

"Rydel, if I were 'humiliated' to date you, would I do this?" Ratliff asked. Rydel was about to give him a confused look, but she got cut off by his lips crashing into hers. She smiled and kissed back.

It just so happened that nearby, Rocky was watching as he pumped his fist into the air. The Queen of Rydellington will be forever happy.
