Chapter 31

Strongarm and Steeljaw hear a commotion coming from the Alchemor and go to check it out, they see Sideswipe greeting a yellow mech. The yellow mech saw them and ran over to them, "Sunstreaker, you're here. Hey," Strongarm says to him a bit nervously.

"Hey, Strongarm, it's been a good while," the yellow mech greeted.

"It has."

"What's with the ears?"

"Was due to an accident by Shockwave, affected everyone."

As they greeted the yellow mech, the sparklings asked, "Who's he?"

"He kind of looks like Sideswipe," Nightback stated.

"This is an old friend of mine and Sideswipe's brother, Sunstreaker."

"He's so shiny," Emberwing complimented.

"Why thank you, little missy," Sunstreaker said with a chuckle. "Cute sparklings."

Emberwing giggled in a shy manner before hiding behind her father. Sunstreaker looks and sees Steeljaw and Metalsound standing next to each other, "They must be a couple, they look cute. Like you and I would look," he states as he gets a little closer to Strongarm.

Metalsound did her best to hold back her laughter as Steeljaw growled at the newcomer, "Metalsound and I are not together. Also, stay away from my mate," he wrapped his tail around her waist to prove his point further.

"Is it because we're wolves that others assume that Steeljaw and I are together?" Metalsound chuckled as she wrapped her arms around Thunderhoof's arm.

Strongarm stands close to Steeljaw and picks up Nightback, "Sorry, Sunstreaker, but I'm already taken. This is Steeljaw my mate and this is our son Nightback."

"Oh, sorry," Sunstreaker replied with a blush.

"It's okay, you thought I would not have mated with anyone and that I would still be available because of my outlook on it."

"Yeah. It doesn't help that Sideswipe had feelings for you either," the yellow mech said.

"Can we not talk about that please?" Sideswipe asked nervously.

"Why not?" Sunstreaker asked.

"I made a few stupid mistakes back then," he shuddered at the memory.

"What did you do?" Nightback asked.

"You don't need to know, son. We're not gonna bring up the old memories," Steeljaw growls at Sideswipe.

Nightback whined as Sideswipe hid behind Windblade, "Sunny, this is Windblade, my sparkmate," Sideswipe said using his brother's old nickname. Steeljaw growled at the brothers as he pushed Strongarm and Nightback toward their quarters.

"Hey, nice to meet you," Sunstreaker said feeling a bit nervous from Steeljaw's growling.

"Nice to meet you too. Don't mind Steeljaw, he's just protective of his family. You never told me you had a brother, Slick," she said to the red mech.

"Slick?" Sunstreaker asked.

"It's her nickname for me."

"Ehh, it's better than what bots used to call us," Sunstreaker chuckled.

"Yeah," Sideswipe said as he chuckled nervously

"What did they call you two?" Windblade asked now curious.

"Ketchup and mustard, because of our color."

Windblade chuckled, "I think it's cute."

"Really?"
