Chapter 38

Steeljaw and Strongarm were woken up from their slumber by a knock at the door. Steeljaw let out a low growl before asking, "Who's there?"

"It's me, Ultra Magnus."

"We're coming," Steeljaw says as Strongarm gets up off the berth and they go out to greet him.

"Strongarm, Steeljaw, I come with good news."

"What is it?"

"Shockwave and Wheeljack have reversed the device, it's set to give Strongarm and the other two their memories back."

Steeljaw hadn't felt this happy since he found out he was going to be a father. He looked at Strongarm with a loving smile, "I'm gonna get my memories back!" Strongarm shouts with glee as she jumps on Seeljaw hugging him.

Steeljaw stumbled a little but kept his balance, "Yes, you are," he chuckled. They run out to meet up with the others. Ultra Magnus chuckled as he followed after them.

They get to the center of the scrapyard and find the others already there, "Alright, Wheeljack, all the femmes are here," says Magnus.

"Alright everyone, move away from the femmes," Wheeljack told them all. Everyone moved and Wheeljack started up the device which hit the femmes with a blast that knocked them to the ground unconscious.

"What did you do!?" Thunderhoof shouted in a panic as he raced over to Metalsound.

"I hit them with the blast like I was supposed to," Wheeljack replied as he ran over to Arcee.

Steeljaw ran over to Strongarm, "You better hope they wake up!" He growled at Wheeljack.

"They will in a few hours, give or take."

"A few hours!?" Both Thunderhoof and Steeljaw exclaimed.

"Yes, so let's just take them back to our quarters and put them in bed, and we'll wait for them to wake up."

Thunderhoof started muttering to himself as he gently picked up his mate and headed to their quarters. Steeljaw and Wheeljack picked up their mates and headed to their own quarters. They all placed their mates down on their berths and waited, praying for them to wake up. A few hours passed and Metalsound was the first to wake. Thunderhoof was filled with relief, "Metalsound."

"Thunderhoof? I thought you were on a mission --Oh my Primus!" She quickly sat up, "Where is that stupid Sloth?" She growled in a low tone.

Thunderhoof grabbed her and pulled her into a loving embrace, "I'm so happy you're back to normal."

She returned his hug, suddenly remembering the previous day, "Where's Emberwing?"

"She's off playing with Nightback and Seajumper."

"How could I forget her? How could I have forgotten you?" She asked as lubricant welled up in her optics.

"It wasn't you, your memories were erased by that Jackal."

"Still, I should have remembered you somehow."

"It's okay, it's over and done with now so don't beat yourself up."

"You're right. Thank you."

"It's no problem," he said lovingly as he held her close and tight.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
