Lauren walked into school with an excitement she'd never had before and she knew it could be seen as suspicious for a student to be so happy at 6:55 in the morning but she didn't care. She also knew that she probably should have gone straight to her friends but she didn't, she found herself walking straight to room 7-104, otherwise known as Mr.Marshall's class. She hoped Camila was already in there or she would have some explaining to do to her friends who were most likely thinking she was making out with a hot guy or was dead. As she stopped right in front of the door she suddenly became shy at the fact she was about to see Camila and didn't find the courage to twist the doorknob. What do I even say? Would she even care if i was in there? God I ask myself too many questions. Lauren thought to herself trying to encourage herself to open the door but failed to realize that someone on the other side had opened the door until the hard wood door smacked her straight in the face making her stumble backwards and land on her bum.
"Oh my god, i'm sorry I didn't know someone was standing there!" Camila immediately apologized to the girl who currently wasn't looking at her and was slowly making her way up from the ground. "Hey, it's okay, you can look at me you know, i'm not a terrible monster despite accidentally slamming a door into your face." Camila spoke softly and tried to lighten the mood. To Camila's surprise Lauren looked up and locked eyes with her, a hint of embarrassment in her demeanor. "Lauren? What were you doing outside my door?" Camila asked with a ghost of a smile. "I..I came to see you." Lauren managed to stutter out since she was getting distracted by Camila's deeply expressive chocolate eyes. "Oh, come in then." Camila said, helping Lauren get up and through the door.
"So.." Camila started, closing all the doors to give them some privacy. "It seems your friends aren't too fond of me already." Camila started. "They're idiots. But why does Dinah not like you? She's usually chill with everyone, especially teachers." Lauren asked out of curiosity. "Oh yes, Dinah. I remember why, it was because I told her to get off her phone and do her assignment the first day I substituted for Marshall. She was watching The Office during class! The Office! Like what the heck. I get it's an excellent comedy but it is not to be watched during class time." Camila exclaimed. Lauren laughed at the story, yeah that's something Dinah would do. She shook her head with a smile before focusing on Camila. Lauren couldn't help but let the other girl know what she was thinking about her. "Wow, you look beautiful today." Lauren breathed out with bluntly. Camila was taken aback by Lauren's honesty, and Lauren was aware that she shouldn't be saying that to Camila because she refused to jeopardize her, but she couldn't help what she felt.
Camila smiled, almost out of pain. "Lauren...you know the rules..." Camila started. "No, fuck the rules. I need to know Camila." Lauren cut her off. "I am 18 years old now, I am an adult according to the law, so why are you holding back? I need to know." Lauren's voice cracked at the end. "Know what Lauren?" Camila let out frustrated at their situation, whatever happens next could either break her heart or put all her hard work at risk. "I need to know if i'm wasting my time here." Lauren said feeling completely defeated but she was closer than ever to having Camila's walls break down and even though she was met with silence she pressed on because she wanted this, all she wanted was to have Camila by her side to call hers, all she had ever looked for in someone and wanted stood right in front of her.
"You never gave me an answer Camila." Lauren said after she couldn't take the silence anymore. Camila ran a hand through her hair and sighed. "Okay yes Lauren, you probably are wasting your time! Because I can't be with you right now!" Camila let out. "But don't you dare doubt for one second that you aren't all I think about. You drive me absolutely crazy Lauren Jauregui. I wish I would have met you in a totally different way but life works out the way it does for a reason. So yes, you may be wasting your time if a relationship is what you want but don't doubt that I like you because I do." Camila finished her rant and Lauren stood back completely speechless.
"Everyday I wish I could tell you how beautiful you look. I wish I could be with you all the time and properly get to know each other because we have a lot in common but we can't Lauren." Camila picked up right where she left off. "We can Camila. Put aside all the laws, all the "rules" you think you're supposed to follow, because right now it's you and me." Lauren said inching dangerously close to Camila, they were face to face, the closest they'd ever gotten to each other. "It's you and me right now...I don't give a fuck about the rules, all I care about is you." Lauren whispered in Camila's ear and in their close proximity she felt Camila shudder. "I care about you too." Camila let out. "Oh yeah? Prove it." Lauren moved back a little to face her again. "We are in school property Lauren this is reckless." Camila said coming back to her senses. "I won't let anything happen to you, I promise." Lauren said making sure to keep Camila's eyes on her.
They stared at each other dead in the eyes before Camila said, "oh fuck it" and grabbed Lauren by the face closing the gap between them. She pushed her lips roughly against Lauren's before slowing down the pace and dropping her hands to the girls waist. Their lips meshed together and Lauren felt as if she was high up in the clouds, but really she was just high on Camila. Her lips were so soft and skillful, she could see Camila knew what she was doing. It seemed like forever before they parted, staring into each others eyes and breathing heavily.
"I can't believe I just did that" Camila said tensing up slightly. Lauren was a little scared that Camila would run away from her after this because she would come the the realization that Lauren wasn't worth the trouble Camila turned to look at Lauren seriously, "No one can know about this ok? Because I really like you Lauren, but what just happened can not affect our student-teacher relationship to the outside world, got it?" Camila asked and Lauren nodded. "So, you're not going to run away?" Lauren asked insecurely and Camila frowned that the girl even had to ask her that question.
"No Lauren, is that what you think of me?" Camila asked hurt and Lauren shook her head, "Of course not, I just know a lot is at stake here and I know i'm not worth the consequences." Lauren cleared up and Camila took her hand and held it while listening. "Don't say that, but i'm serious about being careful Lauren, now go to your friends I bet they are waiting for you." Camila said and Lauren pouted.
Camila's eyes instantly filled with adoration at the sight in front of her. "Lauren, you have to." Camila ordered. "Can I at least get a goodbye kiss?" Lauren requested. Camila rolled her eyes before giving Lauren a small peck on the lips and watching a huge grin make its way onto her face. "Don't get used to it okay, now off you go!" Camila nudged her to the exit. "See you in 4th!" Lauren said excitedly. "Don't skip." Camila teased. "Wouldn't dream of it! I heard the substitute is extremely hot!" Lauren joked while letting the door shut behind her leaving a smiling Camila shaking her head at her desk, biting her lip and wondering how she found in this predicament.
