I walked into the library with a sigh of relief, finally feeling comfortable in this foreign town. I made my way to the computers in hopes of finding some more local information about Mrs. Foster. As I arrived at the end of the computers a certain brown haired woman caught my eye. Low and behold Jane Foster herself was sitting in front of a computer furuiously scribbling in a journal while looking between a computer and a humongous tomb of a book. I took a deep breath and walked up and sat at the next computer over from her, she barely spared me a glance. I worked up some courage and made my voice squeak out, "Hello, Jane Foster?". Mrs. Foster looked up immediately and mumbled out a "Yes, can I help you?". I replied, "Um yes, I think you can. My name is Addaline Amelia Thordottir, and I think you are my mother." Mrs. Foster immediately gasped and covered her mouth. I'll take that as a yes. "Addaline...." she whispered disbelievingly. "Yes, it's me. Are you really my mother? I had a blood test done at the hospital and your name was really the only legit match. I know I maybe should have called first but I really wanted to do this in person..." I rambled on, incapable of stopping. "Shhh..." she said and grabbed my hand. "Yes I am your mother, and I think this was the best way for this to happen. But please, how far have you come? Where are you from?" I thought it over and I decided the truth was the best idea right now. "I came from Oklahoma, I lived in a home called Charlie's Home for The Forgotten. I've been trying to figure out who my parents were for two years. I started with my father because I thought he'd be easier to find but I finally gave up three months ago. You were much easier to find once I saved up enough money for the blood test, though they had no results for my father. I found out last night and scraped the rest of my money together for a train ticket here and well, here I am." Mrs. Foster's mouth dropped instantly. "You came so far... Wait, how old are you?" She asked. "I'm sixteen, my birthday is October 17th, 1997, but I guess you know that." She smiled, "Yes, I do remember that." I smiled at her. Maybe she had a good reason for giving me up. "Come on," she said, standing up, "your staying with me tonight." I smiled but knew what I had to say. "I don't want to put you out, I can easily find a place to stay for the night." "No, I know I don't deserve to be your mother, but I'm one stubborn woman. You're staying with me tonight, and that's that." "Hmm..." I mumbled, "That's where I get it." She laughed and led me out of the library doors.

We hopped in her rustly old van and took off down a old dirt road on the edge of town. A few minutes later we arrived in front of a surprisingly modern house. It had mostly glass windows with one level and a satelite atop the sloping roof. The only thing that was amiss was the four black vans surrounding the house. I stiffened at the sight of them but Jane remained calm. "I wouldn't worry, they are probably just from SHIELD. They are former colleagues of mine." She told me, but I had a bad feeling about this. We parked about ten yards away from the rows of vans and cautiously stepped out of our vehicle. "Fury, is something wrong? Have you heard from Thor? Is everything okay?" Jane yelled out. "Thor?", I thought to myself. "What an odd name." No one answered her for a minute but then a man in an emerald green suit of armour stepped out of a van with a strange sceptor in his hand. This man gave me a bad feeling and I edged back a few steps. "Sorry Lady Jane, but it is only his evil brother."

Jane gasped and yelled for me to get back in the car. I hopped in and Jane put the car in reverse. We backed out a dangerous speed but not fast enough. The strange man calmy pointed his sceptor at us and a strange blue light began to glow at the end of it. Before I could scream the light was racing towards us. In the next second the car in the air, flipping backwards before we landed with a crash. I screamed in pain as the windshield crashed in on us and pieces of glass scraped against my exposed face and neck. We had landed bottoms up and I looked over to see my birth mother unconsious. I shook and yelled her name and she finally awoke long enough to whisper a few words to me. "Thor," she said, "He is your real father, and the only one who can help us now." "Thor?" I asked her astonished as the name finally found a meaning in my head. "The god of lightning?" She smiled and blacked out as the men finally reached us. I screamed and begged her to wake up and help me, but it was no use. I was alone in this. I silently cried as the men were upon us I could do nothing as a man roughly shoved a needle in my arm and then I too, had succumed to the darkness.
