I bit my lip, walking with Dan to knock on my ex-girlfriend's door. I hated this. Every week I got this anxiety that one day, Y/N would break and say I couldn't see Alexa anymore. We argued too much for her to have both of us under one roof. It was better this way, but what if one day, I'm told that I can't see her? I've been gone because of the tour, and that hurts most. Every night, Alexa called me wanting me to come home. On the off days, I managed to FaceTime her all day. Now, I'm seeing her again, face to face.

"Lex, why don't you open the door?" Y/N spoke behind the door. I stepped down off of the porch, standing back with Dan. He rubbed my back. He knew how much I feared losing my pride and joy. The door opened up and Y/N gasped. "Who's that? Is that Daddy?"

I smiled as Y/N let Alexa go. She squealed and ran up to me. "Hi, sweetheart." I kneeled down in front of her, kissing her nose. "How's my little Princess?" Alexa's smile faded. "What's wrong?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

She threw her tiny arms around my neck and began to cry. "I missed you, Daddy..." My jaw dropped slightly, looking at Dan. He was a sapsucker for moments like these, he couldn't hold his emotions together when it came to them. "I missed you so much."

"Aww..." I whispered. "It's okay. I'm here now." I kissed her cheek, pulling her away from me to look into her green eyes. "You don't have to miss me anymore."

She looked at me with sad eyes. "But... In 7 days, you'll go again." Alexa looked down, pulling at her skirt. A felt a tear stream down my face. I reached up and wiped it away.

"I'm sorry, baby girl." I pulled her into another hug.

She hugged back again. "If you're sorry, why won't you make up with Mommy?"

I looked up at Y/N and she angrily walked inside, closing the door. I sighed. "Dan, take Alexa to the car please?" I asked softly. After he took her off of my hands, I walked into the house. "Y/N." I called after her, going upstairs. "Why does Alexa hate it here so much?" I knew this wasn't as simple as her missing me. "Why are you angry at the fact that she wants us to make up?"

Y/N began cleaning up Alexa's room. "Do you fucking want her Phil? Fucking take her, I will gladly put things in a bag and send them your way."

I scoffed. "I gladly will take that. You seem eager to get rid of your own fucking daughter."

"Then help me." She pulled Alexa's Hello Kitty bag out of the closet. I shook my head, standing back. "You knew I wasn't ready to have a baby in the first place and your pressured me to keep her."

I began laughing. "No, no. I didn't pressure you to do shit. I asked you many times for her. No, courts decided that a maternal setting was better than a paternal one. Meanwhile, you're getting rid of her. Wow."

She rushed putting most of Alexa's clothes in her bag before zipping it up and handing it to me. "Get out." Y/N pushed me out, locking the door behind me. I shrugged, walking to the car.

I patted the trunk, asking Dan to open in. After I put her bag in, I hopped into the backseat with Alexa. "Ready to go home?" She nodded. "Your mom agreed to let me keep you for a while. So don't worry about missing me, okay?"

"Yay!" She smiled. I put her in her carseat, buckling her in. "I love you, Daddy."

I chuckled. "I love you too, Princess."
