I had spent half the night thinking about the devil Prince and the other half about Brad.
Which meant that I hadn't got enough sleep leading to drowsy eyes during training. I was up and ready but my muscles were frozen. I was cursing myself for not sleeping. Now I missed my bed and it was all my fault!
"You okay?" Devil boy asked.
"Piss off Prince." I was snappy and mean and I didn't care.
"Yeesh, I'd rather let Brad deal with you." He walked away from me and whispered something to Brad- who for some reason wasn't looking me in the eye today.
Suddenly the two of them disappeared. Just like that into thin air. Wow, I didn't know people could do that?
I felt an arm around my shoulder - right they can't disappear as yet.
"Sleepy?" I heard a warm voice.
"You have no idea." I yawned and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Hey, that's not fair! Why does he get a hug while you just bark at me?" Austin pouted.
Brad retracted his arm immediately and walked to the other side of the room.
"Where's James?" I asked, yawning.
"He went out for some work and told us to leave in case it gets late."
"So why are we still here?" I asked annoyed.
"She's right, let's leave." Brad said with a sigh. We left the house and walked towards our practice site.
"I'm excited. I've never done anything like this before." He admitted with a smile.
"So you just got those abs by sitting around at home?" I blurted. Oops?
"I go to the gym regularly and I play a little football. Why? Do you like my body?" he asked with a smirk on his lips.
"It was just an observation!" I snapped again.
Brad was looking down at his phone as we walked. Suddenly I heard his lips click.
"Why don't you two carry on? I'll catch up with y'all later." He said.
"What's wrong?" I asked holding his arm.
"Something's come up. I have to be there."
"Okay-" he pulled his hoodie over his head and walked off.
"Is something wrong?" I asked Austin.
"Uh- no, it was probably the girl he's been tutoring." He said.
"He's tutoring someone?"
"Yeah... there's this girl in our grade and she requested for his help with uh- physics?" It sounded more like a question.
"Physics huh?"
"Yeah, she wanted his attention and now she has it."
"Oh." My response was short. I wasn't sure how to react to this. We continued walking in an eerie silence. I hadn't seen this guy so quiet ever before. He was trying to be cautious around me now.
"Are you okay?" I broke the silence.
"Why do you ask?" He raised a brow at me.
"You're quiet." I shrugged.
"I just don't have anything to say to you." He said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Well, since it's your first time... do you have any questions?"
