"Alright, swing left!"
Blaise swung his hammer hard, shattering the wood mini-wall that was next to him. The momentum from the heavy end allowed him to go in a full circle, then slam it into the ground, "That's a lot harder to stop than I expected," Blaise said with chuckle.
"Well, work on control. It's good for you to know how to use a weapon," Alex replied, rubbing his cheek and sighing.
"Yeah, I'm working on it," Blaise replied, taking another swing. Alex walked away to go look around at the others.
"You're a really good shot," he stated, walking up behind Kayne as the boy took an arrow, and fired it to a target about 500 meters away, hitting on the edge of the bulls-eye.
"Did you doubt me?" he asked with a smirk.
"Not at all," Alex replied, then moved on, Chance and Felix were sword fighting against one another. As he watched, it became more and more intriguing.
Felix went for a left jab; Chance blocked then spun, slashing at Felix's shoulder. Felix dodged by taking a step back and slashing back at Chance's now open side. Chance fell into a roll in order to dodge his attack, getting quickly back on his feet and blocking the next slice. Both were breathing heavily and looked disgustingly sweaty.
"Nice form guys, now you just gotta practice against other things, like killer Minotaurs or giant scorpions," Alex called out from the sidelines.
They both lowered their swords and turned to look at Alex. Felix shook his head while he laughed, "where do we find training versions of those?"
"No idea!"
Chance started walking closer to Alex, who smiled and waved, picking up a water bottle from the cooler and throwing it at Chance, who reached up to catch it, but before he could an arrow whizzed past, knocking the bottle off its course and spilling water all over the floor and the sword fighter.
"Damn, I was aiming for the middle," Kayne muttered from his position in the room.
Alex, Chance and Felix all looked at the nerd who stood with his bow still up and staring at the path his arrow had flown.
"How can you complain?! You totally covered Chance with the contents of the bottle," Alex burst out laughing, glancing up to see water drip from Chance's head to the floor, making him laugh more.
"What's going on?" Gwyn asked, surfacing from whatever odd part of the room he had been in.
Alex tried to stop laughing to explain, but Chance's expression of shock, but relief too, was a ridiculously amusing image, for whatever reason.
"Kayne shot an arrow at the water bottle, hitting it and making it wet Chance," Felix said with a light, half laughing voice.
Gwyn glanced at Chance, and chuckled a little bit, face palming at Kayne's actions, before looking at Alex, who for whatever odd reason, was still dying of laughter, "You gonna make it dude?"
Alex took a breath, finally managing to stop. After a quick wipe around his eyes, he gave a thumbs up signal. Gwyn turned back to the others, "How's the training going?"
"Felix and Chance got this. Kayne's fine, and Blaise is struggling," Alex replied, "How you doing?"
"I'm doing alright," Gwyn shrugged.
"Can I get a new weapon!?" Blaise called from across the room, grabbing everyone's attention.
Alex turned to see the hammer stuck in the wall. He covered his mouth to keep from laughing again. Dying again wouldn't be a good idea.
