Maggie got in the driver's seat. She turned the key and started the car. Glenn opened the gate for us and waved goodbye. I waved back and we started going. I looked behind us and Glenn closed the gate.
"Thank you for doing this with me Carl." Maggie said watching the road. I turned forward and looked at Maggie. "You're welcome." I said.
2 hours later
We pulled up to an old convenience store. "Here is a list of stuff we are looking for." Maggie said handing me it.
I took it and we got out of the car. We walked up to the door and Maggie quietly opened it. I pulled out my gun and aimed in the door. I looked at Maggie and nodded. I walked in and Maggie came in behind me.
It was clear from the entrance so we walked in. I put my gun down and pulled out the list. "If anything happens, hollar." Maggie whispered. "We're splitting up?" I asked quietly. Maggie looked at me. "We can find the stuff faster."
I nodded and walked toward the medicine. It was all clear. I grabbed some pills and other stuff and put it in my backpack. I found the pregnancy tester and put it in my bag. I turned around and walked toward the baby stuff. On the way, I saw a walker. I backed up and then something grabbed my foot.
I fell backwards and dropped my gun. Uh oh. A walker grabbed my foot. I reached for my gun but I couldn't reach it. I got the walker off and stood up. I turned around and there were more of them. One kicked my gun away. What do I do?
