We spent the next few weeks in LA. Some days we went out, we went shopping, out to eat, and the beach. Some days we just stayed at the hotel and watched tv all day. Everything was absolutely perfect, but August was coming around the corner and I didn't know what we were gonna do next. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him at the moment but I wanted something to do. Being carefree was really fun but at the same time I felt like I wasn't doing anything with my life. I wanted more than sitting in a hotel room eating room service. I wanted to socialize with other people, not saying Blake isn't enough for me, but I miss the ideas of having friends. I sat on the balcony while Blake was in the shower. I was staring at my phone as I was debating if I should call my mom or not. We haven't spoken all summer and I just now realized how much I missed her. I took a deep breath and pressed call. I waited as I heard the ringing tone through the phone and eventually she answered. "Hello?" She asked. I Didn't know what to say so I just sat there, "Lexie?" I still didn't respond. "Are you okay? Are you in trouble? What's going on?" She frantically asked. "No mom. I'm fine. I just wanted to hear your voice." I replied. She exhaled and I could tell she was smiling on the other side. "Where are you?" She asked. "I'm in LA." "What?! How did you get there?" She asked. "Well, I met a guy and we-" "No! Are you pregnant? Oh my gosh why did I ever let you leave? I should've called the cops or something." She cried. "Mom no! Just let me finish. I met a guy the first day we moved to Red Pine, we met at the antique shop. We started talking and we decided that we wanted to go. So we did." "Why would you do that?! You can't just leave and go with a stranger! We don't know abutting about this guy!" "Mom, he's fine." "Well I don't know that!" She was angry which caused me to grow angry. "Okay so this was a mistake. I wanted to call you and tell you how much I missed you but you just reminded me of why I left." I told her. "Lexie! Don't talk to me that way! I am your mother and you are going to respect me! I am gonna get mad at you cause you didn't do the right thing! You don't just go around and run away with strangers." "Well I did." I responded. "I know! I'm getting after you for doing so!" I huffed as she got after me. "Mom I really don't want to fight right now. I just wanted to call and tell you I love you and miss you." "I love you too baby. I just got scared when I couldn't find you that morning. I felt as if I lost you, and to be honest I still feel like I lost you." I know mom.... I'm really sorry I just had to do it. When I first laid eyes on Blake my world completely became whole. I felt this energy inside of me that I never knew existed. When he asked me to run away with him I thought he was crazy but then I realized I just wanted to be with him." "Are you in love?" She asked. I waited for a moment then I responded, "Yeah." "Even though I feel like you are too young I want you to be happy." "I know mom. He makes me happy though." I smiled as I thought about him. "Do you have a job? Does he?" She asked. "Uh, no. We are sort of giving off of his dad's money. It's a long story." "Oh... Well when do you think I'll be able to see you?" she asked. "I don't know. Do you think I could come for the weekend?" I asked. "Honey, you can come home whenever you'd like." I smiled at her answer. "Okay, I'll get a ticket and see you this weekend." My mom sealed with excitement, "I can't wait to see you honey!" I laughed at her excitement, "I can't wait to see you too mom." "Alright, I gotta go! Your sisters are making a mess out of something." I laughed, "Okay mom, love you! bye!" "Bye sweetie!" We hung up the phone and I smiled as I leaned back against the chair.

Blake came out in nothing but a tool and sat on the chair across from me, "Who was that?" He asked. "My mom." I said with a smile. "Your mom? Is anything wrong?" He asked. "No, I'm just going home for the weekend." "Like to Red Pine?" He asked. "Well yeah. I wanted to see my mom." I said. "But you can't go." He said. "Excuse me?" I asked. "You can't go, you need to stay here with me." He said. "I don't need to do anything with you. I'm going home for the weekend. I want to see my mom and I am going to see my mom whether you like it or not." I stated. "But what if you don't come back?" He asked. "I'm gonna come back. I just want to go see her and catch her up on my life." "I don't have a good feeling about this." He said. "I don't care." I was frustrated and upset because he made it seem as if I had to do everything he wanted to me. "Well you should." "But I'm not going to! If I wanna go home, I will! I want to see my mother and I don't care if you have a funny feeling about it. You can have whatever feeling you want, I'm going and that's final!" I stood up and walked back in the room, he followed me and grabbed my arm. "Let go!" I shook my arm out of his grip. "Wait! I'm sorry! I just don't think it's best or you to go! You and her don't have the best history and I don't want you getting upset." He stated. "You don't know our history! I haven't told you the type of relationship we have! At the end of the day whether we fight or not she's my mom and if I want to go see her then I will! I don't need your permission. I don't need to ask how you feel about it, I don't need to verify anything with you. She is my mother! Just because you and your mom don't have a relationship doesn't mean I don't get one with my mom!" I spat at him. "Really? You are gonna bring up my mom? Screw you." I rolled my eyes and darted straight towards my bags. "What are you doing?" He asked. "I'm packing my bags!" "But you said the weekend!" He argued. "Well thanks to you I am extending my trip!"I threw a bunch of different clothes in my bag and I went to grab my toothbrush and toothpaste and I threw it in my bag. I zipped up the duffle, grabbed my phone and purse and headed to the door. "You can't just leave!" "Watch me." I turned around walked out of the room.
