I strolled in the apartment around nine thirtyish to see Blake sitting comfortably on the couch watching tv. "Hey babe." He said as he noticed me. He walked towards me and I placed my purse on the table. "Hey." I said. "Well.. How was it?" He asked in a sing songy tone. "He hates me." I stated. His smile fell and grew concerned, "What do you mean? Did he say something?" "Well he didn't tell me he hated me. I just know. The whole thing was a disaster." I walked towards the couch and plopped down and took my heels off. "Tell me everything." He said. "So i accidentally offended your dad by telling him I know how to type. Apparently it was my way of saying that he couldn't type. Then he fired his assistant and made me his assistant. Oh and did you know there are thirty thousand different types of water? Because now I do! He offered me water, I accepted, and now I was given about thirty options on different types of water. I just wanted water! Then I had to stand there for an hour! Not moving until he needed my assistance. I couldn't find the printer so I went crazy going into peoples cubicles, asking people and getting declined. I finally found it and the paper had jammed so I had to unjam only to find out that I accidentally stole someone else's job. Your dad saw me struggling and told me that I could either be his assistant or give Tony back his job as the iTech guy. I chose being his assistant because truth be told I think I broke your dads printer. Then it gets worse. He left to use the bathroom, and his phone rang. I answered it. It was a guy from Hong Kong. I don't know how to speak Chinese! He thought it was the wrong number and your dad found out and apparently I almost blew a deal. I practically almost made your dad lose five hundred thousand dollars. Now he wants me to take Chinese classes so next time he needs to use the bathroom I can tell them to wait." Blake just stared at me with wide eyes. "Well your dad seemed eventful." "Oh it sure was! I don't think I could do this. I can't be breaking printers, losing deals, speaking Chinese, or ruining your dads business. I just can't. I'm just gonna go sell hotdogs in Central Park. Maybe I can be one of those people who do horse carriage rides. That could be fun." I Sprawled myself across the couch and stared at the ceiling. "I think you just had a rough day, and tomorrow should be better. Just give it time, this is new for you and you just need to get the hang of it." I sat up and looked into Blake's eyes. "Thank you." I said as I pecked his lips. "I'm gonna go take a shower. Maybe when I'm done we can watch tv and eat popcorn." I said. "Oh and I can throw in some candy so it's like a fun popcorn snack." He said with big child like eyes. I laughed and said okay as I went to the bathroom to take a shower.
After my shower I put on my pajamas and went to the living room to see a huge bowl of popcorn and some water on the coffee table. Blake was in the kitchen looking at his phone. "Hey, you okay?" I asked. "Yeah, my dad just texted me. He was asking if you got home okay." "Really?" I asked. "Yup, see he does like you." He said with a smile. "I guess... Whatever, let's just go watch TV." We walked to the couch and sat down as I grabbed the popcorn and placed it on my lap.
I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I was on my bed and I don't think I walked here at night. I guess Blake carried me over here. I hit snooze and started getting ready for the day. I got dressed, put my hair up and make up on, ate breakfast, kissed Blake goodbye, and went down to see the driver waiting for me. "Good morning." He greeted. "Good morning." I responded with a smile. I got in and he quickly got in and drove me to work. "So what's your name?" I asked. "Mr. Parker." "Well I'm Lexie Johnson, me and Blake aren't married." I said. "Oh I am so sorry! I didn't know! He didn't clarify, but I am so sorry!" He said. "Aww it's okay! Don't worry about it! It was a minor mistake." I said with a laugh. "So how are you?" I asked. "I'm doing good, and you?" "I'm a little tired, but so far so good." "Well I'm glad to here." He said as he smiled at me through the rearview mirror. I smiled back and looked out the window. The people of New York looked so alive and vibrant. They all had somewhere to be and something to do, it was exciting to see these people that seemed to have a vibrant exciting life ahead of them. We made it to the building and I made my way to the floor to start work.
