Curtis POV
I was still sitting in my wheelchair when I heard a knock on the door. I wanted to get up and answer it but I had a feeling that it was Karen so I stayed sitting.
"Maya are you in there." someone said from the other side of the door. I immediately knew who it was I jumped up and sped to the door. I opened it and pulled him inside. I put my finger on my mouth signaling for him to stay quiet.
"Joe I need you to listen." I said in a whispered tone.
"I thought you were paralyzed." he said looking freaked out.
"I was but I have to tell you something about Maya."
"Yeah?" He unsurely asked it was visible that he was still shocked.
"She's not the girl you think she is. Her real name isn't even Maya."
"Wait what." He laughed without humor.
"I'm serious. You have to leave while you can."
"you have to help me." I yelled as he made a run for the door
"You're crazy old man."
"Please. I'm begging you." He stopped trying to leave and began to listen.
*ten minutes later*
"So her real name is Karen?" He asked.
"Yes. How are you gonna get me out of here?" Just when he was about to answer someone knocked on the door. We both looked at each other thinking that it was Karen.
"Curtis please open the door if you can." said Brenda. I ran to the door and looked at her.
"You weren't lying she really is crazy." she said speaking really fast.
"What do you mean? Did she do something to you?" I said ushering her inside.
"Brenda this is Joe. Karen's date. Well before he learned about her."
"Nice to meet you." he said reaching his arm out.
"You too." she replied.
"So we need to come up with a plan." "Joe said. We have to lure her in."
"I agree." I said.
"OK first Brenda could be the bait she coul-"
"Wait why do I have to be bait."
"Because you'd be a better bait and she doesn't know that I know about her. And plus she likes me so she wouln't take me as the base."
"I knew it."
"Knew what." he spat.
"You're in on it." You're crazy just like her."
"What how do we know you're not on it." it was clear that he was angry. "I mean from what Curtis tells me she seems pretty evil. If she really was trying to kill you she would've did it. How'd you get away?
"Because I've seen too many scary movies where the dumb girl falls or fails to pick up any weapons."
"Yea right."
"OK can we stop arguing now we need to come up with this plan."
"Fine." they both said at the same time when they realized that they did they looked over at each other.
