Chapter 14 Fearless

Your POV
We both ran at each other simultaneously and wrapped our arms around each other. We had hugged before, usually when either of us was really sad, but this time, it felt more meaningful. I buried my face in chest and began to cry. "If I had known," I sobbed, "I would have told you!" "Shush. You didn't know. I'm just . . . glad we know now," Kenny smiled, lifted my chin up and wiped my tears away. I felt my face turn red but I didn't mind. He has his hood off, his disheveled blonde hair matted to his face with sweat. Tear stains trailing down his face. A strand of hair fell in my face and he pushed it away. Then he started to lean closer until his face was a few inches from mine, but I didn't move. "What are you guys doing?" I nearly had a heart attack and it looked like Kenny almost did too as we both fell on our asses. "I'm sorry! Did I scare you?" Karen giggled. "N-no!" Kenny gloated, "Nothing scares me!" I rolled my eyes and Karen giggled some more, "You two looked like you were about to kiss!" My eyes widened and I realized she was right. That would have been my first kiss! My face turned into an apple and I squealed, "Kenny! Y-y-you were trying to k-k-kiss me?!" "Maybe," he smirked. "(Name) and Kenny sittin' in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First came love, then came marriage, the came the baby in the baby carriage!" Karen sang. "Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" Kenny questioned. "Yeah," I butted in, "It's 3:47 in the morning!" "I'll go tuck her in," Kenny groaned as he got up. "Okay," I responded and he helped me up. While he went upstairs, I turned on the TV. It was already on the news, so I plopped down onto the couch and listened in. Kenny came back three minutes later and sat down next to me. "Breaking News! A fire has started in downtown South Park!" "No, Kenny! Can't we just-" But he was already gone! I wouldn't have time to change, so I ran out the door and climbed onto the rooftop. I spotted him in his costume and quickly jumped rooftops to get to him. I couldn't give away his identity (HIS IDENTITY WAS NEVER REVEALED!) so I called him Mysterion. By the time I caught up with him, he was near the building which was on fire. "Mysterion!" I cried, "I don't want to see you get hurt!" He gave me his iconic grin and whispered, "I have to. I can't just stand here and not help." He was about to jump but I grabbed his hand. "Mysterion! Please." He smiled and grabbed me by my waist and pressed his lips to mine. What seemed like forever, was only like 30 seconds. Just his lips on mine but it felt so good. He pulled away and smiled, "No one to interrupt." And with that he was gone. In a daze, I walked home, satisfied with giving my first kiss to Kenny McCormick.
