Margret's POV
Ed and I was in our shop. Today has been pretty busy, which is surprising for a Wednesday. I tried to keep busy so I wouldn't have to think about the tall stranger that came into my life yesterday, but no matter what I did there he was in my mind.
Ed turned the T.V. on and of course it was on the baseball channel because of Jefferson. "And, Kris Bryant is now found. What a turn of events!" One of the guys said.
"Did it say where he was?" the only girl asked looking at her partners.
"A town in Michigan. I guess that he got stuck in the rain, and something happened to his phone and car. He probably ran out of gas."
"Wow, he got stuck in the rain and now the Cubs are stuck in the rain. But I guess that this is news for all players out there, if you have an off day, check the weather before you go anywhere and don't go more than a hour away from the city and tell someone where you are going. Or else you'll be a Bryant."
I stopped listening to the T.V. when a customer came into the store.
When the time clicked 3:30, I left Ed to command the store on his own, while I left the store and picked up my children at school.
As soon as Josalynn saw me, she ran over to me and hugged my leg. She hates being at school and being away from me or Ed. "Where's Keris?" She asked like she did this morning six times.
"Remember he had to go back home," I said picking her up. She seemed sad. This was unlike her constantly wondering where a stranger is. Normally she wants them to go away, but with Kris she never once ordered him to get out.
We found Jeff outside on the playground with couple of his friends. I could hear him talking about Kris with his friends. A lot of them didn't seem to know who Kris Bryant was, but they still found everything to be cool.
"Jeff, honey, it's time to go!" I yelled capturing my oldest attention. I watched him say good bye to all of his friends and over to us.
"Mom, I wish Kris could still be here!" Jeff whined looking down at his feet.
"I know Jeffie, I know. But you know that he had to get back. If you want to grow up and be in that profession you got to understand the sacrifice that they must make."
"You love him, don't you?" He asked. I didn't know where this came from. "Mom, I know you did. He's different and you like him."
"Um..." I had no idea what to say to him because I didn't know the answer myself.
Sorry for the short part. I really wanted a quick Margret part and here it is. I'm waiting for a hockey game to start so I decided to quickly write this and post it. I hope everyone enjoyed and had a safe Black Friday.
