After a hard loss to Cleveland for game one, Rizz wouldn't leave me alone. I wasn't internally in the mood, but I didn't try to let my bad mood show. "What do you want, Rizz?"

"I got a letter for you. Someone sent me a letter at my house knowing that you'll get it."

I looked up him like he was crazy. "A letter?"

He nodded at me. "Yup, I guess Margret wanted to talk to you as much as you wanted to talk to her. Emily faxed it in."

Without hesitation, I grabbed the letter and started to read.

Dear Kris,

It has been so long. I have missed you more and more each minute that rolls on by. Jeff can't stop watching you, and he's so happy that you made it to the World Series. I couldn't get him to be on time during this whole playoff run. He's begging for me to bring him to Chicago for a game because I guess it's 'once in a lifetime'. I hope that everything is going good there in Cleveland. Remember that I love you, and that my dad, Jeff, Josalynn, and I will be watching every pitch. I hope you the best.

Part of me wished that she wrote more, but that was all that I needed. I kept on thinking about that letter the whole next day as we beat the Indians and on the plane back to Chicago.

The next two games in Chicago was unbelievable. How that city has got because of the World Series was something that you couldn't explain. Everyone was watching wondering when we was going to make that mistake and inevitably lose once again, and we did the first two games that we played there at Wrigley.

Game Five, elimination game, and it looked like it would actually be that until the fourth inning. I was up to bat, and I knocked that ball out to tie the game. Then Riz and Zo scored later to give ourselves the lead. We do not quit, and that fact is for certain.

We ended up winning two to three, but a win is a win. We felt good after that game, but we still had to get two more wins.

After all of the media, I went into the shower trying to wind down before I head home. When I was done and dressed, I headed back to my locker to grab my stuff when two arms snaked around my torso. "I missed you," I female voice said.

"MARGRET!" I said loudly, turning around so we was hugged. "I missed you so much." Right when I said that, I leaned in to kiss her lips. She didn't waste anytime to deepen the kiss.

After some idiot teammates, we broke apart with matching red faces. I still held her in a hug, and I didn't want to ever let go of her.

"Kris!" I heard Jeff yelled as he ran up to me. I broke from Margret to scoop him and his sister up into my arms.

"Isn't it past your bedtime?"

"NO!" Josalynn shriked. "Base... ball!"

I couldn't help but to laugh. "You have been spending too much time with Jeff."

"NO!"

"Where are you staying at?" I asked.

Margret guiltily smiled at me. "I was hoping that we could stay with you."

I smiled at that. "Yeah, I think that'll work. Let's head home." I said leading my little group out of the clubhouse.

"Kris, it has been a long time," a guy, who was camping outside of the door, said smiling.

"Hey Ed, I would give you a hug, but these little ones have attached themselves to me."

He laughed at that. "It's okay. Good game by the way. I don't know that much about baseball, but Jeff and Josalynn kept me up to date with what was going on out there. They are geniuses. I'm a proud grandpa."

"I bet you are. They are amazing kids, and now, I think that it's time for all of us to head to my place so we can get some sleep."

Ed put his arm around his daughter, "I think that's a good idea. Those two looks like they are ready for bed." He was right because somehow both of them fell asleep in my arms. They both looked so cute, and Josalynn started drooling on my shoulder.

The three of us, who was awake, trekked out of Wrigley to the player's parking lot and my car. "How did you get here?"

"Took the train. Thought you would bring us back with you," Marg said with a innocent smile.

"It's no problem, but doesn't Josalynn need a car seat and Jeff have a booster?" No one answered me. I looked into my car and saw that their seats was already in my lock car. I bet that their suitcases was in the trunk. "How?"

"I have NO idea," Margret said grabbing my keys from my pocket. "And I'm driving!"

"Oh, no you are not, country girl." She rolled her eyes at me as she climbed into the driver's seat and Ed got into the passenger. They left me all alone to try to put the two sleeping beauties into their seats. Geez, thanks for the help, but I wasn't mad. Actually, it was quite funny for me for some reason.

I had to ride in the middle, and it was a miserable ride. Firstly, I was sitting so awkwardly between two big children seats, and secondly, I swear that Margret was trying to kill us. Somehow we arrived at my apartment, being more or less alright.

Margret grabbed Josalynn, while I had to carry Jeff. I didn't care. After a short elevator ride, we arrived in my apartment, and there was piles of suitcases sitting in my living room.

"Don't mind us," Margret said with a evil grin. "We are just moving in for a day, and then we are moving on to Cleveland."

My jaw dropped to ground floor. "You... you're coming?"

"Yup, now Kris, I think should be heading to bed. I'll just lay her on the couch, and I'll meet you there."

I followed her suit and laid Jeff on an airbed that magically appeared since I last been here. "Night Ed," I quietly said before I disappeared into my bedroom with the women that I love.

"Night Kris, I missed you so much." She pecked my lips. "And I love you more than anything else in the world."

"I love you too. Thanks for coming and surprising me."

"No problem. Good night, sleep tight." And with that she rolled over in my arms and fell asleep. What a perfect night.
