Divergent Love

Chapter 7

Today is the day of everyone's 3rd fight. Everyone seems to have recovered from the first and second fights but today could be the day of pain.

Fight 1 between Violet and George shocks me. I thought George would win but no. Surprisingly Violet wins by getting George on the ground quickly and kicking him hard in the head a few times let her win. This is a good day for Violet so far and may have boosted her chances of surviving stage 1.

Fight 2 between Charlotte and Dean also ends with Charlotte wining. Her strong skill helped her win by kicking him in the chest a few times and again in the head and ribs. Two initiates all ready in the infirmary.

Fight 3 between Liam and Katie is just sad. He throws her around the room like a rag doll and beats her up until we stop him when she begins losing alot of blood. A third initiate in hospital. By the fourth and final fight the only people left in the room are me and Tobias the 3 victors of the previous fights and Annie and Noah who are about to face each other in the arena. Noah gets hit the head a few times but manages to beat Annie up pretty hard. It was a fair fight but Noah wins. Charlotte runs up to him and hugs him. He slowly and awkwardly hugs her back. I don't hear much of their conversation but after we dismiss them for the day they walk out the room holding hands.

The next day it's the final fights and Will, Eric and Max have all decided to watch the show.

The first fight is between Liam and George. Liam knocks George out unconscious very quickly and the fight is over. The second fight between Noah and Dean ends with Noah winning after a long fight and a share of both of them getting many kicks in the head each. Noah just managed to last longer. The third fight between Charlotte and Annie is also pretty quick, Charlotte wins and the last fight between Violet and Katie. Another surprise when Violet wins and Katie loses.

"Your ranks will be announced later this evening." Tobias shouts. The initiates leave and once again Noah and Charlotte walk out the room together holding hands.

"At least the fighting is over for another year" I say to Tobias. He kisses my head and strokes my hair.

"I know" is all he says.

We go to the cafeteria for dinner and we discuss rankings and write out the rankings for each of our transfers. Just their names number 1 through 8 in the order of how well they have performed. The ranks are :

1 -Liam

2- Charlotte

3- Noah

4- Violet

5- Annie

6-Dean

7- Katie

8- George

Tomorrow the cuts will be announced after their scores are compared with the Dauntless borns.
